back in 2000-02 when scratching a feed was difficult (longlining tuna up & down east coast)myself & a mate(dutchy) flew to woolongong & jumped on the megisti star for trip or two out lord howe rise for red fish,then steamed down hobart (maquarie wharf), spent four months re-fitting boat for the coming roughy season/aggregation...two & a half, hard-out months fishing cascade plateau, st helens & south tasman rise rewarded us with 550 ton....being married to the ocean was the best life i ever knew

Oh how i'd love to be there in that weather used to work on scallop boats in bass strait and had some good days running for home but getting caught lol

My name's Jeremy. I just got back after 15 days of that. Not much roll on in that vid. Just wind and slop. Looks like your steaming towards the big witch... Fuckn beautiful spot. Hard to catch fish there in winter 2010. Some days we do 2 shots with 42 pots and only catch 5 or 6 fish. But it is, without doubt, the best place in the world. I'm sure that big fish is down there. But we'll never know if we don't keep turning our pots over.
