Both parents of such a person who is born in USA or US territory have also to be US citizens at the time such a person's birth. Even iif the person'e parents are just green card holders and later become US citizens it is impossible for that person to become US President. Look for the conjunctions "or", "and" -- you may want to look up what conjunctions are and how conjunctions function -- obviously you are ignorant about conjunctions. US citizenship requires birth on US soil jus soli, and birth to a US citizen parent jus sanguinis. Natural born citizen requires both parents are US citizens and the birth on US soil.

What matters is the laws in effect and circumstances of birth, on the day of birth. If born in MKBP, then per 8USC1401(g) (circa 1961) Obama is 100%British.
What happened after Aug 4, '61, is irrelevant (Perkins v Elg), since he was a minor. All that matters is the laws in effect on the birthday, the location of birth, the parents nationalities, and embassy/consular jurisdiction of the parents on the birthday.

Why don't you do what I did and go to the State of Hawaii website. How do you think I got the info? There you will see info on the late birth registry. A person had up to one year to register late births. Hawaii had ways of doing things before it became a state and continued some things afterwards. But Their law, from 1911 to 1972, provided for foreign-born children to be registered there without verifying actual birthplace. Hawaii has no hospital record on him, which is the only proof.
I didn't say it took his mama a year to file the birth. Hi law at the time was that a person had up to a year to file late births. Look it up. So, after she had him in Kenya, she had him registered in Hawaii to gain US citizenship. Newspapers published ALL public records as they were available, i.e., death, marriage, birth, etc., so that proves nothing. They get their info from dept. of vital records and other registries. Foreign-born citizens were not listed as born in foreign cities.
So after flying half-way around the world to give birth in a third-world country, she managed to, within 4 days, fly back to America, file for a birth certificate, and have the birth announced in two newspapers, and somehow have that birth certificate state that he was born in Honolulu when he really wasn't....

The majority of people assume that it is sufficient for a person to be born in USA to run for President's office in the future. But this is not true. Both parents of such a person who is born in USA or US territory have also to be US citizens at the time such a person's birth. Even iif the person'e parents are just green card holders and later become US citizens it is impossible for that person to become US President. This is exactly the case of Bobby Jindal who has also similar ambitions.

@dumboldrats Actually, the first Congress said no such thing. And even if it did back then, the Supreme Court decision in US vs. Wong Kim Ark would have overturned that law. I work with passports as a day to day part of my job. Thanks to my training, I was provided a direct answer on this topic- if you are born on American soil, you are considered a Natural Born Citizen under our current laws.

It doesn't matter if Obama was born in Hawaii or not. His father was a foreigner. Children, at the time of Obama's birth who had a foreign parent had DUAL CITIZENSHIP. You can become a full-fledged NATURALIZED CITIZEN, but naturalized citizens CAN NOT BECOME PRESIDENT, only NATURAL BORN with two American citizens. You could have cameras in Hawaii while little Barry Soetoro was being born with proof beyond belief he was born in Hawaii, and that still wouldn't make him eligible to be pres.

I can tell you that this is word for word the definition I was given when I trained to handle passports for my job (instruction and certification in citizenship being one of the requirements). I can also tell you, from my understanding, the law is based on the ruling of the Supreme Court in the case of US v Wong Kim Ark.

Afterall, if parentage is important in this matter, then your right- he is in violation of the law and it should be easily proven who his parents are (as opposed to him being born outside America or the like). @borderraven Or, in the alternative, send money to someone already filing a lawsuit and pay close attention to the case. If the suit gets dismissed, look at precisely why it was dismissed. A judge will usually describe the reason and nature of the dismissal. With any luck, he would address the current law in the lawsuit.

Look for the conjunctions "or", "and" -- you may want to look up what conjunctions are and how conjunctions function -- obviously you are ignorant about conjunctions. US citizenship requires birth on US soil jus soli, and birth to a US citizen parent jus sanguinis. Natural born citizen requires both parents are US citizens and the birth on US soil.

In 1961, Britain leased part of Zanzibar, on the coastal mainland of Kenya, and called it the "British Protectorate of Kenya." You can verify this in the "Statesman's Yearbook" published 1950. After Obama was born, Kenya won independence from Britain.
What matters is the laws in effect and circumstances of birth, on the day of birth. If born in MKBP, then per 8USC1401(g) (circa 1961) Obama is 100%British.

What happened after Aug 4, '61, is irrelevant (Perkins v Elg), since he was a minor. All that matters is the laws in effect on the birthday, the location of birth, the parents nationalities, and embassy/consular jurisdiction of the parents on the birthday.
Even if Obama was born in Hawaii, he was under British consular jurisdiction, and would be dual-citizen (equally USA & British), and cannot be NBC.
BTW-the laser-printed COLB is stamped&dated on the back June 6 2007, and bares a embossed stamp

That depends on what substitute.The one Obama uses, w/ NO seal, no documentation or verrifcation on it at all, no doctor attesting to wittnessing the birth, no official who will sign it as proof of authenticity. you couldn't collect a dime insurance with. I worked in a field that required me to know the validity of birth records, I said nothing about being in the insurance field. We never considered a certificate of live birth "the short form" & in all the years I worked on them, I don't recall more than a few could not, or would not offer something more valid. You have not stated BHO's reason for not offering us a copy of his CBC. I know what he says it is...do you? Do you think it's fair or valid for a man who was running for Pres of the USA?

Read carefully: I didnt say I never mentioned the word insurance...I said I did not work in the insurnce field. I worked for a division of the US Treasury. They need to know who's hiding what, (at least that used to be important; times have suddenly changed). Depending upon the level of position etc, in most instances a COLB was either a red flag, or simply unacceptable. One would think that being a candidate for the US presidentcy would be one of those times. But as I said...times have changed.

COLB does not validate where a person was actually born since Hi's law allowed foreign-born children to be registered between 1911 and 1972, not enough proof to be elible for Presidency.

Why don't you do what I did and go to the State of Hawaii website. How do you think I got the info? There you will see info on the late birth registry. A person had up to one year to register late births. Hawaii had ways of doing things before it became a state and continued some things afterwards. But Their law, from 1911 to 1972, provided for foreign-born children to be registered there without verifying actual birthplace. Hawaii has no hospital record on him, which is the only proof.

So if you look on Obama's COLB, it says "Filed by the Registar" on August 8, 1961.
Not sure how good you are at math, but August 4, 1961 (Obama's DOB) to August 8, 1961 (date of filing) adds up to about 4 days--NOT 1 year.
And don't forget the two newspaper announcements that came right on top of the birth (they got their info directly from the hospitals).
And for the last time--foreign-born children don't have American cities listed as their city of birth...jackass. Proove me wrong!

I didn't say it took his mama a year to file the birth. Hi law at the time was that a person had up to a year to file late births. Look it up. So, after she had him in Kenya, she had him registered in Hawaii to gain US citizenship. Newspapers published ALL public records as they were available, i.e., death, marriage, birth, etc., so that proves nothing. They get their info from dept. of vital records and other registries. Foreign-born citizens were not listed as born in foreign cities.

However, that doesn't take away from the fact that Obama has a VALID COLB that was CERTIFIED as being REAL by the Gov. of HI and the HI Dept. of Health (i.e. people smarter and more qualified than you).
COLB's are valid in HI and thus in all 50 States, in accordance with the Full Faith and Credit Clause in the Constitution.

When the constitution was written, do you think they had as many hospitals as there are now? There weren't even as many States as now. But it states that a person, IN ORDER TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE US had to be a natural-born (in the states or its territories). The Amendment of 1952 states that a citizen can pass citizenship to their child when born outside the country, IF the parent lived in US 10 years, 5 of those after the age of 14 at birth. She was 18. A COLB isn't proof for Presidents.

Amendments as to the eligibility has precisely nailed what constitutes that eligibility. Identity verification is the most important rule in Presidential eligibility, otherwise, we'd have enemies infiltrating our govt. to destroy it. Sounds like what we have in there now. I haven't seen one thing credible that you've posted. obama sr is buried in his mother's yard. Obama would not be so chummy with a step grandparent. He hardly went to Hawaii to see his blood white grandmother. We don't need to go through the courts, which are tainted, to get him and libby congress out of our house. All we have to do is declare tyranny in the govt, including the court system and overtake the house and replace those in there. Any laws made unlawful are null and void.

After he went to college, thanks to his commie friend Frank Davis, et al, he hardly went back to see his grandma in Hawaii. Too busy writing commie essays. He said in his book he didn't want to come off as a sellout so he sought out marxist professors. As for tyranny, our govt. is full of it and despotism. A criminal offense and our founding fathers encouraged it to be abolished and amended by the people. And not at the polling place either. Overthrow is what they mean.
