  • just use a regular mouse goddamit

  • im typing this with my magic mouse;) its magic!;)

  • I just got the Magic Mouse with my Imac and I dont like it its too thin. My $15 Microsoft wireless mouse is way better.

  • Lololol. Deco agley not for gaming.

  • The only good thing i can say about this mouse is that it has high capability of being a carry mouse however if your looking for a gaming mouse go for a microsoft mouse a logitech mouse and if you are willing to spend the money a razer mouse if you want a good mouse that fits comfortably in your hand get a Performance Mouse MX - By Logitech trust me its worth the money

  • 2 thumb buttons > 2 finger swiping :)

  • Press 2 and 7 repeatedly.

  • Any mouse from Logitech is better than this soap bar.

  • One really important question , How the hell do u save images from google...etc?

  • One really important question , Hwo the hell do u save images from google...etc?

  • Ive got one, my views- POS- Sleak design, modern, touch screen features. NEG- too thin (but i knew that anyway), the material is shiny plastic, and your fingers have to be extremely dry for you to slide your fingers across it- otherwise your sweat will grip it too much and drag it around. Its nice though and can work on any surface. I had it with my macbook pro on my bed today and it worked fine.

  • If they made the magic mouse more ergonomic and put at least 2 physical buttons on the sides, I'd buy it no questions asked!

Now I stick to my Razer Orochi Bluetooth Mouse.

  • I plan to get a Mac soon. I was going to buy the Mighty Mouse, becuase i personallly found it comfy. I read though that it can only do one click at a time ( In other words, lets say i play a game, i may need to click both mouse buttons at the same time, i can't do that with a Mighty Mouse ) could i do that on a Magic mouse?

  • I am getting my MBP soon with this Magic mouse. I have hell no idea how to use it and whether it will suits my hands but thankfully I have handy my Microsoft wireles 5000 mose just in case that Magic will require too much magic for comfortable usage ;)

  • I love it. I was already used to hot corners. Its perfect for me. Other "mices" and touch pads are so dated.

  • Expose is just pressing F10

  • nipple ball , heh :)

  • lol i like how his intro has a buffalo with a prosthetic leg =]

  • Admidably, the Apple functions for the mouse are a joke. But Apple promotes MagicPrefs on the Apple Website. This tool has a gazillion ways to cutomize the multitouch capabilties, You can set them, so the mouse works just like your Macbooks Trackpad for example. 4finger swipes for Desktop view and Expose. That makes the side buttons totally obsolete.

  • Comment removed

  • i cant wait to get it with my new iMac!

btw, the multitouch goes all the way fromthe top- to all the way to above the apple

  • I use Win 7 with magic mouse

I just like the idea of scrolling without wheel, hoping it will last longer than my previous mice :D

  • if you download a program called MagicPrefs, you can click with 3 fingers to activate expose (and you can set it to activate anything else, like pinch-to-zoom and stuff like that)

  • if we can look past the rabid mac fanboism and cloud of novelty we can clearly see this mouse sucks ass and is simply gimmicky

  • @doctorpwnage You don't even own it. Your the one being a fanboy in this situation.

  • @Fraosky1 I actually do own one and it's the worst mouse I have ever used :)

  • i cant scroll and im going nuts!!! i love it but the fact that i cant scroll is v-e-r-y annoying... can anybody help me?

  • Hotcorners gets ANNOYING!

I'll go up to the spotlight, or menu bar and BAM there's the expose.

I'm glad you can turn it off, and Magicprefs is nice.

  • It is 50 QUID!!!! for a damn mouse!!! extortion!!!! Steve Jobs isn't just trying to make money!!! he doesn't need to try! people will stupidly pay excessive amounts on products that don't really NEED to be invented! it's just shocking... i'm moe than happy with my smart price mouse from ASDA! £2.99 and still goin!

  • actually, the how comfy the mouse is actually depends on your hand. I love it and got used to it when i first held it but my bros hate the shit out of it

  • Puny mouse is small and uncomfortable, me need mouse that iz beeg like me und haas Buttons. I like the clicky click

  • @FolstrimHori it does click magic mouse is really fun you should get it

  • I use it and I think its great, especially when used with BetterTouchTool, MouseWizard or MagicPrefs.

  • I got the magic mouse about a month ago and he's right. It has a much lower profile than the previous mouse, but I love its functionality

  • hahahaha nipple ball.. really.. haha funny stuff

  • i have the mous. BTW the mouse doesn't work all the way down, the trackpad stops where the apple logo starts.

  • instead of finger gestures you can use mouse gestures to do the same (firegestures in Firefox), it prevents accidental clicks and touches, I don't think a mouse is where I'd want to accidentally do something, its a nice looking mouse but not as ergonomic as my current mouse. I prefer tactile feedback on my input devices. All this touch stuff is cool but prefer real buttons.

  • i wasted $ getting one of these. Pure form over function.

Sticking with a logitech mouse with hot corners.

  • The mouse is horrible. A normal mouse is so much better.

  • *snicker* he said nipple

  • I use hot corners for expose and I love it. I'm sure it'll become natural for you too.

  • I have the same exact hot corners setup! I have the MX Revolution right now, but will probably get the Magic Mouse for a portable mouse.

  • nipple ball i startred cracking up

  • I'd get one if I had a Mac :-/.

  • i already got it for my macbook pro

    its great

  • nipple ball

    hahahaha

  • i was gonna get it but not anymore, it looks really uncomfortable to use..

  • get MX revolution

  • once you get used to it, which takes about a day... it almost seems like nothing there beneath your relaxed hand. The secondary click is effortless since you can press anywhere right or left of center depending on how you set it. Single primary click is anywhere toward the top portion of the entire multitouch surface.

Once they rewrite the code for magic mouse it should be one of the best on earth.

  • Why don't you try then out in a store. I did the same and it didn't seem very bad to me.

  • Not all have Apple Store near you.

  • Yes you are right. But there are some other stores that sell Apple products as well. And I really wouldn't buy a mouse that is so expensive without trying it out first.

  • As much as I like to try the latest and greatest, I still can't find a reason to leave my basic scroll-wheel mouse. I can use expose with a click, and still have my right-click!

The one function that I think would be fun is the touch sensitive scrolling.

  • I love hot corners, I used it with the mighty mouse.

  • Techno buffalo = epic fail.

Keep up wit reading the back of boxes

  • The macbook's trackpad can activate exposee by swiping 4 fingers. Can't you do that with the Magic Mouse? Will it ever be possible? If not, it really really sucks.

  • i would like to have something like that for pc

  • Why are you not looking at the camera lens? Great review.

  • what exactly does it do that is multi-touch besides the 2-finger swipe? They should have more multi-touch gestures for exposé just as their trackpads do.

  • I'm getting it

  • I was going to buy one for my MacBook until I heard you say that it was $70 That's about... 2 to 3 tines as expensive as it should be.

  • To darn expensive

  • Pussy mouse will never get it

  • the laser tracking is much better than the wired optical tracking of the old mighty mouse.

  • lmao nipple ball i keep rewinding that bit

  • Alternatively you could get a Logitech MX Revolution (Or a Logitech Performance MX). They are on sale at PC World for about £55 (here in the UK). It is a similar price to the Magic Mouse and has twice as many features.

  • lolz nipple button

  • Buying 2 for christmas one for mom one for me im going to say they came in a bundle and package them together! :) ;)

  • "are those hard ripple balls or are you just happy to see me?"

  • i'm definitely buying this for my macbook pro

  • Hey does the magic mouse work with the new

    MacBook?

  • of course ... its logic you fool

  • Nope...the magic mouse does not work with the new MacBook. Not...at...all.

...of course it works with the new MacBook...lol

It'll work with the old MacBook too if you have the drivers.

  • I've always used corners, never like the side button on the mighty mouse, always pressed then by mistake, so corners i just found best for me, only thing that puts me off the magic mouse is its low profile.

  • Ain't nothing worse than a dirty nipple.... ball.

  • lol

  • This is a nice gift idea for xmas^^

  • i love how u laughed after you said nipple ball

  • he never laughed!!

  • the second time he did

  • I think I'll be buying one independently because it is just like my MacBook Pro's track pad and of course, as you said...it's beautiful Apple style.

  • R u giving it away

  • Hot corners are quite difficult to use with the new 27" iMac, because distances between corners are so long.

  • ya and the new magic mouse is quite slow compared to Logitech MX series etc..:S

but I'm sure that Apple will do everything they can to improve that issue..

  • i want it so bad!!!!!!!!!! and my mouse pad has a thing to set your wrist on it is all squishy and awesome. so that thing with your wrist wont bug me.

  • Jon is really working it in his videos...

  • yeah

  • Right?!! I mean what's up with the puppy eyes and the smile...whoo lovin' it.

  • tomorrow i am going to the apple store and getting the blutooth keybpard and the majic mouse

  • Hey guys, i need some help you see, are macs any good for gaming? Are games made for mac aswell as pc? plz repy, iv never had a mac!

  • no dont go for a mac if you're a hardcore gamer. macs are not customizable unlike pc

  • a good computer for gaming is alienware witch is made dell or gate way witch i use for gameing but alien ware is a lot more costumizable

  • haha u wont find good games for macs... maybe ton hawk's pro skater 4... macs r awesome for everything but gaming

  • you can get nearly all games for mac...

but you still can use bootcamp.. so

  • 1:49 hahahaha IMMATURE LOL

    NIPPLE hahahahaha

    U LAUGHED!!!!!!!

  • $69 dollars for that mouse?

Not in this life time i could afford it but that price is insane.

  • LOL "nipple ball".. gosh im so immature

  • I want to get the magic mouse, but I would also like to get the new 27" iMac.

  • i wish i had the cash for it :(...

but i'll get in 2-3 months for windows, if it works

  • i got the magic mouse aswell its very impressive but not the best mouse. check out my first impressions video on my YT channel.

  • Am i the ONLY one who LIKED the Nipple Ball?!??!?

  • Nice video sir, compared to others, your videos are very useful in making purchases before we buy.

  • i git the magic mouse with my new imac and im getting the feeling of carpal tunnel in my wrist its in pain but i love it!

  • durden94- Believe me, if you're in pain right now, stop while you're ahead of much worst pain. Try a logitech mouse.

  • nice Vid'!

I guess I'm about to get back to my good ol' MIghty fellow!

  • Grat video!!

  • im weiting for this for 7 months. im getting it the day it arrives to my local apple store. im calling the store every day

  • nipple ball , lol

  • love your videos jon

  • nipple ball... hahaha... funny!!

    love ur vids jon

  • oh man i love hot corners, I end up using those more than i do the programmed buttons on my mighty mouse.

  • u shure it works for windows?

  • ask the employees at your local apple store or call apple

  • Nice video.

  • Comment removed

  • gonna get it just for reviewing it and my parents

  • Cool info. I don't think I am going to run out and buy one, but if I buy the new quad core iMac I think I will try it out.

    Overall cool video 5/5.

    -Dylan

  • hey dude..i always watch your vids and like them...BUT jazz the back view a bit ! put some humour in yor vids .

  • i have a mac mini and i like that I can basically use WHAT I WANT and not given INFERIOR mac keyboard, and mice.

I have large early 00's iMac USB keyboard that works great. It's not white, but it's not baby size.

I use a laser mouse that has 2 clear buttons and scroll wheel and it cost less than $5.

I don't see a reason to get this mouse, I already got used to hot spots in Mac OS X. ANd the mouse i have works perfectly fine as is.

  • nice review

  • does it work for PC's?

  • No, because it requires wifi.

  • That mouse looks pretty amazing, and it has nice technology. Just, that rubber track on the bottom is a bit.. ugly. I'm surprised Apple didn't find a way to either make it smaller or less bold. But then again, it is on the bottom.

  • who the fuck looks at the bottom of there mouse?

  • You mean their? And you miss the point of my comment completely. In MY opininion, those black sliders don't go with the minimalistic and simplistic view that Apple always tries to have. And obviously Jon, our reviewer, looked at the bottom of the mouse. That's who.

  • thank you for this information. I actually like the side button on my mighty mouse and use it all the time, so no I won't be buying this. It also looks too small. I don't like it when you take away something that works well, should only add to it to make it even better, this doesn't seem like it's totally doing that. don't seem to care about the swiping part so much either. oh well. Thank you for this vid

  • i think its not good for gaming

  • Even of the Button jon, I have the same unibody MacBook you have, and i have just the Expose on the top right corner. Trust me you will get use to it quick. even when your using someone else computer, or PC. it's so funny.

  • i dislike that its bluetooth only

  • the mighty mouse was junk. what did they say about a middle mouse button?i do need a middle button. hot corners cant activate as a middle mouse. For any 3d app you need a 3rd button.

  • What a stupid gimmick.

  • Are you okay Jon? You lock a bit outofit in your eyes? Something wrong? Othervise you seem normal.

  • i just got mine yesterday and i love it. to handle it i kinda set my wrist on the table and hold it with my ring finger, pinky and thumb to move it around. idk if that works for you but might want to try it. :D

  • im gonna get the new iMac for christmas!!

so magic mouse will come with it.

  • 1:14 ever heard of mouse bottom 4 and 5? haha losers.

  • I loved the scroll ball dirt didn't get in it the magic mouse is choppy

  • Apple can't be good at everything. If they are bad at producing mice they are bad. Lol mice or mouses?

  • mice

  • The mighty mouse sucked, and the magic mouse hasn't had the best reviews. The mice before that have always sucked. I just don't think Apple has a way with mouses. They focus too much on looks and simplicity that they forget functionality. If I were to buy an iMac, I would for sure sell the mouse and pick up a Logitech performance mouse MX or similar.

  • apple invented the mouse, before it, people on PCs had to use the arrow keys duh.

  • you've gotta be kidding...

  • wait no... Didn't apple invent the trackpad, not the mouse. And Windows was the first OS to make use of the technology, I think.

  • apple didn't invent the mouse dude, xerox did, but they couldn't get corporate funding, so apple took the design and polished it up.

  • I loved the mighty mouse

  • lol like what the fuck... who would use that shit?..

    just use a G5...

  • kinda bad review, to bad

  • U look like you just woke up, LOL

  • NIPPLEBALL

  • its slow ...AND IT FAILS

  • u can make the speed faster lol

  • yes and even on the fastest settings ...its still slow..apple fails

  • hey this guy is awesome

  • haha niple ball

  • hmm that name sounds familiar...

  • Lol. Lame. Some people go tech crazy and just sound like gibberish.

  • nipple ball? did he just say tht?

  • wow......

  • it doesn't seem very gamer friendly

  • Well it was never designed to be gamer friendly. It is an apple product after all.

  • More like magically overpriced piece of shit Imao.

  • Hahaha you're right.

  • hahahahaha....

  • can i use it for windows? :D

  • it uses bluetooth to connect with the computer and alot of windows-based computers don't have bluetooth, so it depends entirely on your computer. hope i helped.

  • why would windows not have bluetooth? its a hardware, windows is just an operating system dude

  • i was going to save up for it, but then I found my bluetooth mighty mouse that I lost a few months ago. The killer for me is the lack of a middle mouse button, which I use alot in Maya 2010

  • jon r u gonna make a vid about the droid?

everybody is saying that its an iphone killer

and i agree it has so many things on it

  • i just bought one, i love it so far.

  • Awesome review as always, active corners kind of suck...they tend to activate when you try to go to to trash on the dock, (bottom right) or close a page (top left), other than that I think it´s a matter of getting used to.

Man love your style of doing the reviews.

  • " its so low pro" =)

  • 69 bux....hmm wonder if apple was horny when they priced it

  • Totally going to get a Magic Mouse. Pre-ordered 2 already.

Anything to replace my old "apple mouse" would be good. . .

  • Rolf Nipple Ball =)

  • i hate how everything is touchscreen now

    just leave it original

with the 2 buttons and the scroll wheel
