The problem with Barnes is that we know he was a good player but for years he never played well for England. He was given many chances and I remember a lot of fans got tired of him as he let himself put on weight too. If he didnt want to play then he shouldnt have played. When you wear an England shirt you should go out and do your best and Barnes didnt do that. I dont agree with the jeers but Barnes brought it on himself when we needed a great player to perform and should be ashamed of himself.
