hello why not use the A as U as and the B as V mach 3 understand the UVW as I use thus for my wire EDM wire machine? And this is the way that it be done profesional
hi, i set up a cnc machine problem is that whenever i try to jog the motors they move one step on the downpress of my hot key then stop and once i let go of my hotkey they move one more step. Is this problem due to a problem with the motors, the wiring or is it just improper motor config?
my DRO for my 4th axis is working but i have no motor movment. i have check the card, i know it works, and i have the spindle relay working on the same board, the motor just wont work, any input???
Can you import files from autodesk autocad, like you can in mastercam? I'm looking for a cheaper cam software that I do that with. I'm faster and better in autocad than cam programs i've used.

try to invert the step low active by doing the following
go to config, then ports and pins then motor outputs then invert the step active X or V

Make sure you have the pulse and direction set correctly on the Mach3 settings

What a horrendous user interface. Is anyone working on CNC software for the Mac?

Mach has become the de facto standard for DIY CNC and is actually quite powerful.
If you don't like the interface, make your own; it's done all the time to remove unneeded elements and show only what custom controls a builder wants.
I haven't heard of any cnc software for the Mac. It doesn't seem to make sense to use a mac to control a cnc machine -- too expensive.
If you don't like Windows, you can run the linux-based EMC, another powerful CNC controller.
