@BlameTheFirst I'd take Ron Paul off that list. He voted to keep subsidies for big oil. The others also argue in favor of continuing the exact type of subsidies that benefit only big oil and not the smaller companies that produce the machinery.. No valid argument for a Libertarian to subsidize. There isn't a real Libertarian in this so-called tea party to be found.

Capitalism just requires trading things of value for other goods or services, based on what each person wants and needs.....no government ownership. socialism requires public ownership (ownership by the gov't through the theft of tax dollars) and communism requires a community to have maximum participation. in order to have this you need some sort of rule or force to get people to do what they normally wouldn't. you my friend, are very misinformed.

@scalp340 without government to enforce property rights, capitalism cant exist. Objective (as in, applies to everyone) ideas on property ownership do not exist. So if we have 60% of the people believing in capitalism and 40% of the people believing in communism, theres going to be a massive protocol issue.

@endauthority Both socialism and communism require wealth redistribution and the abolishment of private property. To have that, you need a large-enough government entity to forcibly seize and redistribute wealth and ensure that no one owns any property.

Its not redistribution of wealth, its free access to the resources for everyone. no one can "own" wealth with this paradigm (in fact the very definition of wealth changes), so redistribution of it is nothing but pure nonsense.

@BlameTheFirst you have to intellectually prove that rights exist. Then you have to prove each individual right exists objectively.
Just because it sounds good to you doesnt make it so. If we establish our rights based on utilitarianism (which is quite easy to do) it makes more sense to reject capitalism in favor of a system thats more altrustic and beneficial to the majority of people alive.
