Love this film but especially this scene.She died as she lived on her own terms and in her onw time I can totally respect that.If she had allowed herself to be Octavian's prisioner she would have been paraded and degraded in Rome and then killed(who would want to go out like that)plus Anthony and her son had been killed so she had nothing emotionally to live for anymore.Elizabeth is an awsome actress,R.I.P Babe.

I'm sorry but nobody can top Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. She had the chops to make the character both ruthless and tender, fearless and vulnerable, mature, sexy, intelligent, and utterly human.
