It's a field goal in practice and it DID go through the uprights and over the crossbar, wise-ass, plus virtually no wind at his back. Football players have to try out sometime - this kick is worthy of a pro team tryout.
to calculate the distance for a field goal attempt, simply add 17 yards to the line of scrimmage. 10 for the end zone distance, and 7 for the snap distance.

@hende37 dude you really need to shut your mouth, the only difference you are going to see in football field lengths is between an american football field and a canadian football field. pro and highschool fields in america are the exact same length but i think the hash marks are different.
@bobcatbandman12 shut my mouth?? im typing not talking.... learn your logic. and I know a pro football field is much bigger than a high school football field... I can kick a football from one end to the other at a high school football field, no problem. I know I'm right.
@hende37 I don't care what you are doing. But before you start saying that I'm wrong, you might want to check somewhere on the internet, or you could go measure both fields. Either way you are going to find out that you are wrong.
@hehateme71 tFUCK YOU ALL! I KNOW A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD IS SHORTER! NFL FIELDS LOOK LONGER ON TELEVISON AND IN PERSON. I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU PEOPLE SAY! YOU WANT TO PROVE ME WRONG? MAKE A VIDEO ON IT....
@hende37 hahahahahahaha you are so ignorant. A football field is a football field no matter where it is. It is the same length and width no matter what. And you CANNOT kick a football from one end to the other hahaha. "I know you're wrong"
yea if this was in an actual football game people would've paid attention but since it's not, stop bragging about something a 7th grader can do during kickball. there's no defense to kick over, so you fail.
When he was a member of the Saints,Morten Andersen would kick 75 yd FG's in pre game warmups. The key is he didn't have onrushing linemen trying to block it. Long Fg's have to be attempted with a low trajectory making them easier to block. Andersen is one of the reasons the league moved the KO from the 35-30. He was kicking the ball into the stands from the 35 on a regular basis. I know,I was a season ticket holder and saw every game live.
not too bad but im pretty sure any professional soccer player could go sign up for a NFL team and be a great kicker its just that they dont want to because they just dont like football or the idea of not having close relationships with the other players. oh and thats not a tee as you can see so that argument is gone and he isnt getting a 7 step run up like a kickoff either so this is a legit kick. period.
@ferndaleballer32 there are bonds made with any team mates on any team whether its baseball, football, soccer (futbol) or any other sport i haven't named a team has a close relationship no matter what so i don't think that, that is a factor in it. A professional soccer player probably chooses to play soccer because they want to play soccer and a football kicker wants to play football it depends on what sport they want to get into.
Thats not a field goal. More like a kickoff. No snap back, no holder, and no team rushing the kick. Kickers all the time kickoff from the 30 and get the ball to the opposing goalline. Thats 70 yards as well...
@depewfootball59 Ok, you're right. He hit a field goal longer than any kicker ever before him. Him along with the tons of other people on YouTube that hit a 70 yard field goal. Weird how none of these guys can do any of this in the NFL let alone an actual game. Whatever though, you're right. This 70 yard "field goal" is definitely legit.
@Aso21Raiders yes i agree kicking in a game is harder for sure the pressure, guy trying to block it , the snap, but guy this guy some credit he didn't take a big run up like they do off a kickoff he only took 3 steps.......
@Aso21Raiders What he is doing is a field goal. Saying it isn't is dumb. What's it called them you throw a ball to another person when not in a game with out a snap or defense? It's still a pass. Yea it's easier to do it with out all that you listed but you can't just say that he isn't kicking a field goal. Plus on a kick off you take more than 2 steps. He is 100% doing a field goal. Quit hating.
@Aso21Raiders you people are so ignorant. this is not even close to a kickoff. a kickoff involves taking as many steps back as you want, which gives you twice the power than a field goal, because a field goal is only two steps. the holder is the PVC pipe, which is holding the ball up exactly how a regular holder would. and with all the equipment on and a live snap and rush, it only takes off about 5 yards..... and a 65 yard field goal is still very damn good.
@Ryandinho14 Where the hell do you get all these 'as many steps as you want' = 2x power and a rush takes 5 yards away and all that crap? What bullshit physics classes are you taking? and with the PVC pipe holding the ball in place that takes away all possibility of human error. You've honestly never seen amateur kickers doing this same sort of thing all the time?
Anyone can do this with the tee. Why wasnt that random kid walking holding it? That would have reduced his leg by 10 yards. And the hold wouldn't have been perfect, so another 5 yards. Oopps, this failed 70 yarder just turned into a failed 55 yarder
everyone here clearly knows nothing about football, kicking, or anything concerning this video, the line of scrimage for this would be at the 47 yard line on the opposite end of the field from the goal posts that the kicker is attempting to score on, thus the holder would be 7 yards back from the line of scrimage and the kicker about three more from there, the endzone is 10 yards, not 11, and kicking with a practice holder does not aid in distance at all
IDIOTS... yes you add 17 to the spot of the ball when a snap and hold is included (10 yards for endzone, and 7 for the snap).. but this is the opposite 40 yard line, the ball is placed 60 yards from the endzone + 10 yards to the fieldgoal posts... that is a 70 yard field goal
@kemoblu4u. Your a fucking dumbass. Why the hell would you add 17 yards. Te endzone is only about 11. Therefore you add 11 or 10 yards to the kick. Depending on who does what. So a 40 is a 51(or a 50)
@TheLongcutCOPE kemoblu4u is talking about the actual spot of the ball, not where he's kicking the ball from, for example it's 3rd and 10 on the 37, the offense gets 7 yards and the ball is on the 30, it would be a 47 yard field goal attempt, because of the 30 yards+10 yards (the length of the endzone)+7 yards (the length back the kicker lines up)=47 yards
@lilzale2423 They'll probably score more points than you in game so I could care less. Stop trolling and get a life. Did you seriously just look up a video on YouTube just to say, "lol who cares about the kcikers they dnt get hoes of pussy"?

if there wasnt a tee or a block then how the hell was he able to kick it w/o anyone holding it up for him??? this just like doing a kick off.. im not impressed
@patron1202 It's not a tee. It's a stand that's designed to mimmick a holder. The ball is still on the ground, it's just a bar that rests on top of the ball to keep it balanced. Look it up on google.
@patron1202 It's called a field goal kicking stand you moron. And it is not like doing a kick off, the ball is pinned directly to the ground. Even if it was that is still a long ass way to put it through the upright. Don't be jealous that you have no athletic ability at all.
@patron1202 You right I don't know you. And you don't know me. So how is it that your so sure your dick has more skill than me again? All I know is that you sound pretty salty that you never made your high school football team.
he has a good leg but when nfl kickers play in the games they are under more presure and 11 angry black guys trying to swat the ball down but when they do kick offs they get the ball madd far
in the nfl the kickers could do easily a 70 yard fieldgoal if they have the time for it..its like the kickoff, they have enough time to kick very good so the football goes deep:)
I love how all these people comment and try to make it like a 70 yard field goal in no big deal but you won't see any of their kicks on YouTube lol. Great kick! That is a lot to be proud of. My longest ever is only 62 and in a game 48 I think. -Coach Brent
nice kick buddy. You have any wind at your back? I have a pretty big leg and can make 63 in a no wind environment. Made a 71 once in my life with about a 20+ MPH wind at my back. Not saying you needed that much, just wondering.
@dhstandard22 First of all he did it from the same distance. This was a difficult kick. Aiming for a feild goal from 70 yards away is not difficult? Look at a kick off and look at the run start they get. Than watch what this guy does. If you still think its not difficult your delusional and must think you know everything. Have you ever kicked a feild goal from 70 yards away with a holder or on a stand? If not I do not think you have any right to even speak!
@zesty2000 thats 70 you add 10 because of the back of the endzone smart one and ne duh it would have been blocked but your just hating cuz you cant do that.
@TheL4dgamer Your right dude it is 70! The line of scrimmage would have been at the 45. The ball is kicked 5 yards back making it at the 40. 10 yards of endzone makes it a 70 yard field goal. These people are just jealous they can never and will never do this. Let alone actually play a real meaningful game of football in their lives!
@josh19852008 The line of scrimmage would have been either the 47 or 48 yard line, not the 45. They have to go back at least 7 yards, and almost everyone goes back 8 yards now.
@josh19852008 when they say how far the kick is, they're not adding how far back the snap is. All they're doing is line of scrimmage + endzone length.
@josh19852008 not to be an asshole or anything, but i play football and i am a starting half back, and i am really not gonna be jealous of a kicker, i mean, its a kicker...
@snake1392 Than why is majority saying 5? hmmm? Tell me why a feild go from the 40 yd lis is 55 yds? 10 yds of endzone? hmmmm? That means it is 5 yads from the snapper to the holder!
@josh19852008 actually youo add 17 years to the spot of the ball and theres your distance....if youre kicked from the opponents 40 yrd line its a 57 yard feild goal for example.
@josh19852008 i think thats amazing but i dont mean this in a bad way but when pads come on you wont be able to kick it as good as yu did in this video
@5616michael It is amazing. Pads do make a difference but kickers do not wear much. Their are probably people out their that can kick these kind of feild goals.
The problem with long field goals is not distance. it's the low trajectory needed to get that distance. A defensive linemen would have blocked this kick simply by standing up. Alex karras once said he could have blocked Dempseys 63 yd FG if he had just out his hands in the air. He said it barely went over his helmet.
he kicked it from the stand. I agree a 70 kick is pretty good but in a real game when you have a defensive line coming at you and your relying on 2 other people to do their jobs perfectly this becomes slightly unimpressive.
@sub4lifee I have seen Morten Andersen hit 75 yarders during warmups when he played with the Saints. The reason it's impossible in a game is the trajectory is so low it would hit the linemen in the back if it had been a game situation.
Dumb ass vvvvvvvv yeah he is on the 40 but the other 40 past the 50 so if you look at it going from 1 to 100 yards he's on the 60 yard line an endzone is 10 so 60 plus 10 = 70 so you do the math!!!! And nice kick bro

it only counts in the game, but that is very impressive
illini978 1 year ago
in the nfl the kickers could do easily a 70 yard fieldgoal if they have the time for it..its like the kickoff, they have enough time to kick very good so the football goes deep:)

Cleanspit64 1 year ago
its 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage, so each field goal is 17 yards longer than the yardage the line of scrimmage is...add the endzone

I love how all these people comment and try to make it like a 70 yard field goal in no big deal but you won't see any of their kicks on YouTube lol. Great kick! That is a lot to be proud of. My longest ever is only 62 and in a game 48 I think. -Coach Brent
kickingworld 1 year ago
nice kick buddy. You have any wind at your back? I have a pretty big leg and can make 63 in a no wind environment. Made a 71 once in my life with about a 20+ MPH wind at my back. Not saying you needed that much, just wondering.

What dhstandard said holds some truth, but still a nice kick.
Sgballer05 1 year ago
It looks like he just barely missed it. Would be good from 68. Add in a defense and a real holder, and he could probably hit from 60. Strong leg.
Crazyriders07 1 year ago
yeah....not too difficult when you kick it off a stand dumbfuck
dhstandard22 1 year ago
@dhstandard22 ORLY
MMASourcedotcom 1 year ago
@dhstandard22 First of all he did it from the same distance. This was a difficult kick. Aiming for a feild goal from 70 yards away is not difficult? Look at a kick off and look at the run start they get. Than watch what this guy does. If you still think its not difficult your delusional and must think you know everything. Have you ever kicked a feild goal from 70 yards away with a holder or on a stand? If not I do not think you have any right to even speak!
josh19852008 1 year ago
thats was only 60 and that kick was low so it would have gotten blocked if there was a defensive lne
zesty2000 1 year ago
@zesty2000 thats 70 you add 10 because of the back of the endzone smart one and ne duh it would have been blocked but your just hating cuz you cant do that.
key571 1 year ago
@zesty2000 wow, are you dumb!
wfo76 1 year ago
@zesty2000 i'm pretty sure it was 70 dumbass
TheL4dgamer 1 year ago
@TheL4dgamer Your right dude it is 70! The line of scrimmage would have been at the 45. The ball is kicked 5 yards back making it at the 40. 10 yards of endzone makes it a 70 yard field goal. These people are just jealous they can never and will never do this. Let alone actually play a real meaningful game of football in their lives!
josh19852008 1 year ago 41
@josh19852008 The line of scrimmage would have been either the 47 or 48 yard line, not the 45. They have to go back at least 7 yards, and almost everyone goes back 8 yards now.
MichaelD8577 1 year ago
@MichaelD8577 Ok but that was not the point. The point is that this kick is a 70 yard field goal.
josh19852008 1 year ago
@josh19852008
the LOS wouldve been at the 43 actually. 7 yard snap to kick
froggyismyfriend 1 year ago
@josh19852008 Its usually kicked from 7 yards behind the LOS.
Mahnbearpigg 1 year ago
@josh19852008 when they say how far the kick is, they're not adding how far back the snap is. All they're doing is line of scrimmage + endzone length.
noahmcdx 1 year ago
@noahmcdx No you add 15 yards. 10 for the endzone and 5 for the actual kick.
josh19852008 1 year ago
@josh19852008 not to be an asshole or anything, but i play football and i am a starting half back, and i am really not gonna be jealous of a kicker, i mean, its a kicker...
funnymonkey571 1 year ago
@funnymonkey571 I think you are missing the point and who we are talking about!
josh19852008 1 year ago
@josh19852008 its 7 yards back. lol
snake1392 1 year ago
@snake1392 Than why is majority saying 5? hmmm? Tell me why a feild go from the 40 yd lis is 55 yds? 10 yds of endzone? hmmmm? That means it is 5 yads from the snapper to the holder!
josh19852008 1 year ago
@josh19852008 its 7 yards back, not 5. ball would be placed at the opposite 47 yard line. not tryiin to be a douche just lettin ya know
cmjones53 1 year ago
@cmjones53 Hey I do not make the rules. NFL and college would say it is a 70 yarder
josh19852008 1 year ago
@josh19852008 actually youo add 17 years to the spot of the ball and theres your distance....if youre kicked from the opponents 40 yrd line its a 57 yard feild goal for example.
kemoblue4u 11 months ago
@kemoblue4u Well take it up with the NFL and NCAA.
josh19852008 11 months ago
@josh19852008 i think thats amazing but i dont mean this in a bad way but when pads come on you wont be able to kick it as good as yu did in this video
5616michael 7 months ago
@5616michael It is amazing. Pads do make a difference but kickers do not wear much. Their are probably people out their that can kick these kind of feild goals.
josh19852008 7 months ago
@zesty2000 your a dumb ass. you have to add the endzone which is 10. 60+10=70!

@themagiclover123 what fuckin video you watchin..he was on the 40 yard line..from the 40 to the field goal posts its 70 yards
TheL4dgamer 1 year ago
@TheL4dgamer
he was 60 yards away from the endzone with a 10 yard endzone. so 60 + 10 = 70.
jamesknape1 1 year ago
The problem with long field goals is not distance. it's the low trajectory needed to get that distance. A defensive linemen would have blocked this kick simply by standing up. Alex karras once said he could have blocked Dempseys 63 yd FG if he had just out his hands in the air. He said it barely went over his helmet.
kingfish4242 1 year ago
he barely missed
DurhamBull73 1 year ago
he kicked it from the stand. I agree a 70 kick is pretty good but in a real game when you have a defensive line coming at you and your relying on 2 other people to do their jobs perfectly this becomes slightly unimpressive.
sub4lifee 1 year ago
@sub4lifee I have seen Morten Andersen hit 75 yarders during warmups when he played with the Saints. The reason it's impossible in a game is the trajectory is so low it would hit the linemen in the back if it had been a game situation.

It is impressive, but a lot of people can do it, it's the pressure, pads, and having to do it at speed that stops kickers.
inveretus 1 year ago
Dumb ass vvvvvvvv yeah he is on the 40 but the other 40 past the 50 so if you look at it going from 1 to 100 yards he's on the 60 yard line an endzone is 10 so 60 plus 10 = 70 so you do the math!!!! And nice kick bro
NJskaters732 1 year ago
he´s on the 40 it´´s 60 yards -.- math?
Xstreamdude 1 year ago
@Xstreamdude the endzone adds another 10 yards so its 70 yards -.- math?

@volcomfreedom 60 yards to the start of the endzone, and the posts are at the end of the endzone, which is another 10 yards. so it is 70yards
