My opinion: fans in MSG expected more from this match, than the WWE was prepared to deliver. Let's be honest; the Attitude Era spoiled a lot of wrestling fans. People expected more from Goldberg, than the business would allow him to show. He's a big guy, but he wasn't going to show his diverse styles in his match versus Lesnar. And Lesnar was on his way out, anyway. So no real incentive from him to put on a good show. Fans got screwed on this match!!

I think this match should've taken the same approach that WCW took with Steiner Vs Lesnar at Fall Brawl 2000. Not the best match ever, but it was actually entertaining compared with this match- at least in my view.

Yeah, but consider the following:

-Fans pay a lot of money to attend these events or watch it on PPV. I think back then WrestleMania was like $40-50 to order on PPV. A double DQ finish is a poor way to satisfy your customers.

-Keep in mind, this was a match the fans wanted to see. Thus there has to be a clear cut winner. Most fans don't like matches that end with no decision- there has to be a winner and loser.

-Heading into WrestleMania, the heel usually loses for the most part.
