  • Sweet ride dude.

  • Is there not enough room for the strut tower brace when you have the supercharger on it?

  • @trevordaviessss There is room; I have now chose to leave it off and keep it on my Bullitt Shrine . .. . :)

  • i ended up going with the vortech system but thats a gorgeous car, change the bulky louvers to the flush fitting ones

  • @ADD8oi I took the louvers off completely... like the look better that way I think.

  • @travelguy008 yeah, they did make that car beautifully, great car though!

  • @travelguy008

How did you get them off? I would love to know because I don't like mine that much and they are starting to bend.

  • @airbornbuckeye It sucked! They had 3 pieces of stickey/double sided tape each. Whoever had originally installed them did a terible job. (or they are just a bad product). Took forever to get the tape off and I ended up scratching the paint in a couple spots which ticked me off.

  • Beautiful.

  • @Scolagiaco I added some staggered Nitto 555's. The factory tires didn'y cut it. If I go below a half tank a gas (less weight in the back) and punch it anywhere in 1st or 2nd, it just spins. I'm working on the supporting traction mods right now.

  • I've seen pics where the strut tower bar fits under the supercharger, did you take it off or did it even come with it? If not the past owner probably kept it as a souvenir. Incidentally I own #1911, whats yours?

  • @renardthatch I have the strut bar, and it will fit with the supercharger. It currently is on my garage wall as my Bullitt shrine centerpiece.

  • Hey, nice Mustang. I have to ask did you personally put the Roush Charger in or did it come with it. If you put it in yourself, did you see/feel a dramatic change in throttle response and performance? I ask because im in the market for a SC and considering the Roush.

  • @Pharoe29 I bought the car with about 2,000 miles on it from the dealer and it had the supercharger already installed. I did have an '07 Mustang before, so I do know the difference. And WOW!! I would recommend you go with the TVS 2.3L Roush blower. You will get more power than with the set up I have (m90 1.3L blower). It is completely daily driveable, still in the 20's for MPG's; and runs with the best of them. Only other upgrade is my clutch.

  • Thank you for your reply. I wil definately look into the TVS 2.3L . Im trying to keep my car with the Roush theme!

  • Hey Travelguy008 I was wondering did the M90 1.3 have a great gain in power over the stock mustang. And could you upgrade the pulleys to get more out of it? I am asking because I will be getting the M90 from the dealership installed as well. I just want to know if it is worth the 6k

  • quick question.. you probably got his alot arldy but will the strut brace fit over the S/C?

  • @Fastback91 The brace will fit over a couple of the supercharger applications. Yes, it will fit over the M90 Roushcharger. I did a couple minor mods to make it work.

  • @travelguy008

did you have to put spacers on?

  • @Fastback91 just two small ones and still plenty of room.

  • @travelguy008 what kind of mods did you do and do you need a new hood? i'm really interested in the roushcharger but if i have to remove the strut tower i won't do it. also, i'm definitely getting the stage 3 roush handling pack you should look into it.

  • @SaigonTheDon The car has a Spec clutch, underdrive pulley for the blower, changed to an open air filament instead of the closed air box. The stock Bullitt strut brace fits with this blower, I just have it off and on my Bullitt shrine :) You should watch my video of the car being dyno's; it's pretty neat.

  • @travelguy008 so you didn't have to do any mods to the strut brace or anything to make the it fit? it just fit with the supercharger already? and yeah i'll check it out

  • @SaigonTheDon At first I got some washers and fabricated a little piece because I thought I would need it. But I ended up not needing the pieces after all. It fits perfectly. I have picture over at IMBOC website from the 2010 Bullitt / Mach 1 shootout. You'll see that it fits. (The pictures are in the "Media Thread" in the Texas forums)

  • @travelguy008 wow that's really cool. i'm really considering getting the roush for mine. not sure if i should look at any other superchargers though.

  • that kid has a point, fuck MPG.

i bought the 5.7 grand cherokee because of its how large and wholesome it's balls are.

if i wanted good mpg, i would have bought a electric car.

  • i had the same question, i have an 08 green bullitt #5377 & i am looking into camming it out & adding a saleen charger OR adding a couple of turbos to the exhaust. a supercharger seemed like a bad idea cause of gas milage & I thought id have 2 take of the bar, but u said it fits, so hows ur gas milage? cause i know turbos r more expensive but it doesnt touch ur mpg like a supercharger does

  • I have a 2007 Mustang GT with a 3.31 rear end and a 5 speed; bone stock. In Ohio weather hardly using the air; I'd hit 29 on freeway trips and 21-22 with the mild mixed city that I would occasionally run into. This 2008 Bullitt is pushing approximately 460HP at the crank with a dyno of 400 to the wheels. It has factory 3.73 gears and I run the air a lot. From Houston to Dallas, going about 5 MPH over the limit; I got 26 MPG. The city driving gets me about 18(with air on).Sometimes 19.

  • Why do you give a shit about MPG when you're driving a mustang? Trade it for a prius

  • y would i trade a mustang bullitt 4 a pruis??

& it wouldnt hurt 2 try & have a good mpg.

  • Look into a centrifugal supercharger. They are like a mixture of both turbo/supercharger. Since you build boost into the rpm's, your gas mileage wouldn't be affected as much. Your gas mileage also depends on the tuning, amount of boost you're running and how often you put your foot down. Either way, Do NOT go forced induction if you're worried about gas mileage.

  • i finally figured out why i have such horrible mpg, it turns out i have 3:73:1 gears in the back, & that helps consume alot, but yeah, ill totally look into that, but b4 i do, i have 2 upgrade my cams, im not gonna stick a turbo/supercharger without swaping cams 2 get full performance. but thank alot man, i hadent heard of that

  • @BullittEdyR About 2 posts down, you will see my posts on my gas mileage. It is still good. And if you go to Bing or Google; type in "IMBOC" (which is a Bullitt Mustang site) you will see a members there posting their MPG's with supercharged applications. One of them, just got a vortech and is getting 22MPG. I'm seeing a little better than that with my M90.

  • yeah i am a member of imboc, im 5377 on the 08 roster, but yeah, i just finally gave up, i have my bullitt in the garage, my mpg is leaving me broke, im filling up every 2days.. so i got it detailed & stuck it in my garage, now im runing in a 97 mercury moutaineer that gets triple the mpg my bullitt., but yeah thank u lol ive givin up on trying 2 get a descent mpg

  • hey bullittEdyr maybe you should get a tune. I have an 08 Bullitt and I got about 19mpg city (some mountainous driving) and about 27-29 on the highway. After the CMCV deletes and tune I now get 21mpg city and 29-33 highway. But I only run 93. I done a little experiment with my V6 Fusion and my wifes light foot, she averaged 19mpg on 87 for 3months, then I changed her to 93 and now shes getting 22mpg city. So I would consider the value 93 costs more (.50 a gal) but goes on average 50mi further...

  • Really, what Bullitt# do you have? and well yeah, let me tell you about that, it turns out mpg has been a WAR with me, 1day my car guzzled down an ENTIRE tank , i was dumbfounded, ive been getting HORRIBLE gas mileage, i was spending $40.00 every 2days, so i just put it in my garage & am driving my dads mercury moutaineer, a 5.0V8 that get abillion more mpg than my car, i cant aford my gas bill with that car.

  • @BullittEdyR that's just not right. Even with the blower I'm getting good MPG's. You might want to take it to the dealer while it's under warranty to get that looked at.

  • # 2933 And I had a Eddie Bauer Explorer with the 5 liter and it stunk on mpg's alot worse than your bullitt...you should easily get 17-19 out of your car with casual (not spirited) driving...try skip shifting from 1-3-5 and shift at like 2500rpms..only hit it when you need to get out in traffic. My car can start off in 2nd and never bog...3.73's you have to love em.

  • i put $20.00 in the cheap gas on the moutaineer & it lasts me a hole week, i put $40.00 in the bullitt & i have 2 fill up every other day. But ill try that, i have a long drive 2day, ill try skippin those gears, but man, i wish i had that mpg up there u just showed me. but yeah, thanks alot, i appreciate it.

  • I have an '08 bullitt (black) and im seriously thinking about a supercharger.. can you give me some info on the performance status after installation? by the way... does the brace not fit overtop of the supercharger? because that would suck.. those are wonderful for handling..

  • If you click my profile name, you will see a link to my dyno video. It dyno'ed 400RWHP on a Mustang Dyno Jet (422HP on a Dynojet). I just bought some staggered NITTO tires because the stock BFG couldn't handle the extra power. The strut bar will fit, you will see some pics of the Roushcharger and Bullitt strut bar. Takes an axtra washer to put it on. No biggy though. ANything else, let me know.

  • you guys seen the roush mustang backjack? 100 made. real nice.

  • i still think they couldve done something better for the 08 bullitts.. i am so disapointed about them.

  • Elaborate a little.. kind of a general statement.

  • well.. power wise.. from stock engine... better looking fascia..kinda looks too plain and boring to me...probably better stock rims.. the ones it comes with are kinda too simple...that kinda stuff..hey listen i love bullitts..i own one.. i am not dissin, i am just saying that in my own opinion they dont attract me like the 01's. tought that they would do better with all the competition around and new technologies. just to plain and boring to me. but urs looks good and nice supacharger. peace:P

  • i have the roush supercharger on my 06 gt and it only pushes around 6psi. and my fastest 0-60 with street legal drags was 4.56 seconds

  • I bought an underdrive pulley and had Doug from Bamachips tune my car at DynoJoe's in Houston. I also changed the air filter housing. The boost technically maxed at 8.9 lbs. Was good for 400 to the wheels. All of this is on the stock fuel pump. If you click my profile, you will see a video of my dyno pulls.

  • very nice.

  • Man you have to post a video showing your best 0-60/ 0-100. I'd be very eager to see it!

  • With still having the stock tire, I'm still a little traction limited. However, I'll try to get a vid in there for you. Just gotta figure out how to mount the camera. Can't steer, shift, and film at the same time!!

  • does it still have the same exaust note?

  • The supercharger was already on the car when I bought it with 2,000 miles on it. I personally think the exhaust note is kind of weak (although much better than the '99-'04 cars) I had an '07 Mustang GT with SLP's; that sounded good. The exhaust from what I can tell though it about the same as other Bullitts I hear. Sorry I couldn't help you more on that one.

  • Im looking at the same setup for my 09. charger is about 5500 from summitracing. How much should installation run? And also how does it affect your low end torque?

  • Low end Torgue is crazy... I have a dyno sheet floating around here someone (I also have the video if te dyno here on YouTube; click my profile) Has a little over 400 ft-lbs to the rear wheels with the max torque coming aroind 2200 RPMs. Still is very streetable. I would suggest some good tires though. Stomp in in second at 45 mph and the rear end will fly sideways for awhile with the stock meats.

  • I can't remember.. Are Roush kits the ones that won't void the factory warranty? I'm currently looking at an 09, and I would love to supercharge it at some point. Don't want to lose the factory warranty though..

  • No, doesn't void the factory warranty. Factory warranty remains.

  • btw..im thinkin of louvers too. but im not sure if i can bring myself to do it cause of the bullitt's integrity....go decision or bad? ?

  • They were on there when I got the car... If I were to do it; I would get the stick on kind. Heard good things about those. Have some issues with the ones I got.

  • Thats cool man. everyone has their own style.

    yours is a good one.

  • Nice man. i love the scoop panels for the small back windows always liked thoes on a mustang instead of the window. i would put a gt tail fin on the back and a scooped hood other than that great car! perfect daily driver and something fun to dust rice racers in all the time

  • I like the "naked" look without the tail spoiler.. the lines run together better.. Now the hood; yeah, I could see that.

  • my dad just roushcharged his bullitt and put 8 pounds of boost on it, 5 lbs would have put it at 500

but just incase we went to 8 ;)

those chargers wake up that car more than anything ive ever seen.

  • The stock Roushcharger (M90) is about 5 lbs for 450 HP... Which Roushcharger did he use? Did he upgrade his fuel pump also?

  • no but theres two different roush packages you can get, one being the 450 horse and the other being a little larger and comes with an intercooler.

  • If you got to Roushes website (YouTube won't allow the posting of URL's) ; you will see that the smaller M90 blower from Roush does include the intercooler. The larger 2.3L blower from Roush is also intercooled. The primary difference (besides the obvious displacement difference) is that the smaller blower has a tune from Roush. The 2.3 is meant more for "do-it-yourself" tuners. That larger blower would most definitly need a heftier fuel pump set-up.

  • steve mcqueen will be happy.. good job dude.... show da world wat stang coould do... 2 dat ugly ass challeneger & fruity lookin camaro...

  • Just wondering if you looked at the Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger? It looks really nice as well. Gives the Mustang 466hp. I think that may be more than what you have? Let me know. Thanks.

  • I have seen the Edelbrock; looks to be an okay unit. Only thing, I don't know a single person who has one. I know people with Saleen, Kenny Bell, Roush.. but no Edlebrock. Also; the Edlebrock is very pricey in my opinion. I'm sure it's a good unit; just to much money for what you get. The unit I have claims 450.

  • Got your link off IMBOC, sweet setup.

Just curious why you didnt keep the factory cold-air intake. Seems counter-intuitive. I've read articles that say just adding the CAI can boost even a Roush 427R by 15-2 RWHP.

  • Hey man sweet add on! By any chance have you had any problems with your tranny grinding? I'm gettin a grind on the 2-3 shift, wondering if any other bullitt owners experienced this...

  • no, my father owns one and it hasnt done it when either of us have driven it.

  • sucks that you don't have the sway bar, thats what keeps me from buying a supercharger for mine.

  • That's what I thought 'till I drove it. Small price to pay for the huge grin it puts on your face. There's a machine shop that thinks they can fabricate to make it fit.

  • wher is this shop located?

  • Houston, TX

  • Do you have a name for this compaany?

  • DAMN that thing is sexy :)

    enjoy that thing!
