@Balthic you are of course correct - given the FN SCAR is replacing the M4 in the US SOCOM, who would the ADF be moving to it? The M4 has plenty of shortcomings - gets very hot in sustained fire among other things. Rebuilds to the F88S-A2 standard is going as fast as possible and this will stay in service for another decade or so. As I recall, the main reason the M4 came into service with SF was because the F88 wasn't ideal for amphibious ops, had no rails for extra optics and no 40mm UGL.
