hey mate got any good spots in vic that i can get to without a boat and is it safe to spearfish have u ever encounted sharks coz that what im worried bout
If you can tell me mate, was this Western Port Bay? I'm just confused as to what you refer to as Mornington back beach. or did you mean oceanside monington peninsula? and where exactly is this? its incredible! even GPS Coordinates would be greatly helpful! cheers and happy spearing!
I would hazard a guess that hes referring to Mornington Pennisula back beaches, anywhere from Portsea ocean beack to Cape Shanck. Melburnians call those back beaches and the beaches on the Port Phillip bay side are called the front beach(hope that clears things up)
@shazdogg23 not particularly lol i just wanted to know exactly where this area is. ive been spearing all along the back beaches but havent had a huge amount of success. this area looks rich as!
Sorry mate I put in the hard yards to find spots so I don't give em out. You need to get out there on a boat, any spot that you can get to from a shore track gets smashed.
@shanooosas1 Nothing to worry about, Spearing & diving down here is fantastic. Bit cooler then NSW though, Visit Southern Freedivers Forums for more info.
