@unhandledException1 it's not a .rar file, its an .iso file, but wen WinRAR is installed it's automatically set as the default opener for .iso files, so it will give them the WinRAR icon like it does with a .rar file, hope this helps

well.. its no good being 'fast' when u cant get drivers for it(mey netbook wont work on it), or even decent software.

Ubuntu is for people who enjoy having to tweak thier computer all day just to get it running, and when they do get it running.. they have very little software support anyway.

I tried it, and had to keep using a virtual windows inside ubuntu.. total waste of my time.

It does look great, and runs very smooth.

But the lack of software that I'm used to using on windows, and the fact that some wifi, touchpad mouse drivers etc may not work, Is the reason I wasn't happy with it.

but either way,

I just use normal xp instead now... It gets things done.

@The12345hassanali1 Ubuntu has many drivers preinstalled; but not all of them. Try to find the drivers for your wireless, then try to get the linux version of that driver. If you can't find a linux driver for it, then you're out of luck. But most likely, it will work.

Yep, if your dual booting, it will always be there.

If you deleted windows in the installation of Ubuntu then you will need to boot from a windows disk and do the same stuff (kind of) that i showed you with the ubuntu cd.

If you install Ubuntu, your previous operating system has no effect on the necessity for drivers. Ubuntu generally is pretty good with already having drivers. I personally didnt need any drivers when i installed ubuntu, while i DO when i install windows. Ubuntu is great in that respect.
