@SakyuaMezukai Since you think I am male, this added stupid comment of yours is quite interesting. So you prove you do no homework, and cannot read, either, as my comment to you had nothing to do with gender.
Grow up, learn to think. You won't. You're too full of yourself.
@brainouty FYI to others: not all atheists are as arrogant and stupid as Sakyua here. Don't judge all atheists by her. Many atheists are good people, and many more don't buy evolution. Evolution doesn't prove or disprove God's Existence, as it is a hypothesis of cause and effect which never can account for INITIAL SOURCE. So be an atheist, or not, as suits your conscience. Just do your homework before you comment on my videos, or I'll chew you out for being a slipshod scholar.
@SakyuaMezukai Sigh. Another idiot trying to pretend that he knows science. Like to see you predict the future of the Roman Empire year by year like Paul does in Ephesians 1:3-14, all the way to Odovocar. Oh, that's right: you don't know anything about history, either. Nor Greek, nor satire, nor about anything. You just spout off nonsense thinking yourself smart when you do it.
You don't even understand genetics. Bye. Too many jerks like you on Youtube.
How is it evidence that god is real because all christians belive in a god? Of course there aren't people that believe in a god that debate whether or not there is a god, they already believe in a god, that is how they are defined!
I've read the Bible. You aren't going to convince me that it isn't the most boring, perverse, violent, and confused thing I've ever read. If it's not precise enough for me to interpret it without someone else's help, it's not precise.
@AllOtherNamesTaken2 No, actually it's very precise. For the past 8 months I've been demonstrating in videos, live from the Greek meter how Paul tracked the next 434 years of Roman history you can verify, back in 56 AD. Many examples like that one. So the problem is, people don't read Bible properly. Not, the Bible. Since you just parrot what you think absent homework, you obviously don't read it, either.
Next time, do some homework before you make stupid comments.

@brainouty Another rather more likely hypothesis is that these texts were modified later to match the predictions. Food for thought that does not require making massive leaps of illogic and the ridiculous presumption of an "uncreated" creator to "explain" why we're here...
@hznfrst Rather less likely, since the Greek is 1st century, dummy. Do your homework before you parrot stuff you know nothing about. I show the Greek onscreen. We can prove it's first century, even as you can prove that the 1611 KJV was really written four centuries prior. IF YOU CAN READ THE LANGUAGE.
You can't. You're just another Youtube idiot spouting ignorant parrottings. Do your homework, if you don't want to get nasty replies like this from me. Atheism is fine. Laziness is not.
@brainouty Actually I can read some Greek, and your presumption that I can't - or that your text is authentic - is evidence that you are the one who's full of shit. The very idea of prophecy is absurd and requires far more evidence than you or anyone has ever provided. You'r e nothing but a potty-mouthed, ignorant troll.
@hznfrst Actually, you can't. If you could, you'd never make such ignorant remarks. If you could read Greek, then you'd know how Paul swears. Bible swearing is common, even in Hebrew. So you just proved yourself a liar. Bye.
@brainouty Sigh. So many pretenders on Youtube. Christian pretenders, Muslim pretenders, atheist pretenders. BELIEVE WHATEVER YOU LIKE but DO YOUR HOMEWORK, if you expect to comment on my videos. I'll roast you alive, for not doing homework. Only for that.
You might want to re-read genesis, as this is the same literalist bullshit that brings the "Separation of Church and State isn't in the Constitution" bullshit out. It's not directly said (both Church/State separation and universe creation), but it's implied so fucking heavily that it might as well be.
This is where your credibility went directly out the window. What you're really trying to say here is "atheists don't choose atheism because they analyzed their religion and found it didn't hold up, but because it's just a rebellious phase." If you're going to say something like this, you better have some facts to back it up. It's the argumentative equivalent of "you'll understand when you're older."
Religion is a culturally based fiction...you yourself must find your own way...find your own belief...do not follow in the footsteps that all people have due to the controlling nature of society...piety is not truth...it is belief...belief is not fact...faith is not truth...faith is the downfall of society due to the ignorance of mankind desiring to find the answer to everything...we will all see what lies behind the vale of lifelessness...do not join these control factors...(I believe in a God)
@Akron162 Music isn't a religious factor...those who believe so have succumbed under strange and outlandish beliefs of insanity to control mankind...yes...religion is a controlled society telling all other sentient beings that progress lies in submission to a way of life determined by "God" (Word defining higher being than all, the creator.) Why would a creator care for music?...why would he hinder the satisfaction of the mind, the lust or the enjoyment?...Clear answer...society dislikes desire.
@KevinLounsberry Perceptive questions! You can take those same questions and flip, to: 1) how do you know that what you cannot see, is NOT real? 2) how can you NOT know what 'know' means?
Funny you'd post this just after I finished my ROA video series and the Seeing the Invisible video.
@KevinLounsberry When you know something, you know you know. But when you pretend to know in order to cover up ignorance or uncomfortable knowledge, then the claim to know is bluster. The bluster will be revealed in a Lady-MacBeth type unconscious manner, always calling the SELF rational or free or knowing, in order to bluff away the discomfort.
@brainouty It's very clear you're not telling me what you understand "know" to mean, do you have an answer or not, and talking about pimping now? I said nothing about pimping or pimping knowledge, are you insane or did I just get trolled?
@KevinLounsberry Okay, you're somehow descending into baiting. I thought you were really thinking in terms of principle, and this second time you needlessly accuse without pondering my reply tells me you're only here to argue. Feel free to do that,, but I'll no longer reply, nor read what you say.
Respect means reading what someone writes. You prove to have none, so will get none.
@brainouty I'd be very interested to hear about what I've done you consider to be baiting, You're the one talking about pimping and repeatedly dodging my question of what you think "know" means. I also haven't accused you of anything, simply wondered if you're insane or a troll.
"thinking in terms of principal" it's really hard to get more vague than that. Can you, please, just choose words which accurately describe what you're thinking, regardless of how big or poetic they might sound?
@KevinLounsberry I dodged nothing. End. Talk all you want now, having proved yourself yet another punk on Youtube. Pity. I thought you were talking in terms of principle, at first. But you just proved you cannot even spell it, and are too lazy to look it up. Another punk, dime a dozen.
@brainouty If you didn't dodge my question, why don't I see an answer to it in this reply? And both spellings are correct, they just have different meanings, I did intend to say "principle", it's a common typing error, not that spelling takes any priority in a debate. I mean really, is that all you have left to disagree with me on? my spelling? Principle is a descriptive word, to use it properly you must first state what you are using it to describe or you're being too vague to comprehend.
And I don't know that what I cannot see isn't real, but there is literally an infinite number of things I cannot see. I definitely don't see any giants around here. I definitely don't see pink elephants. I don't see your mother on a street corner either, and I definitely don't see her accepting money from what appear to be strangers.
If I can't see it, or can't see evidence of it, it's nothing short of a waste of my time to think about whether or not it's real.
@KevinLounsberry Au contraire. Since you know that there are so many REAL things you cannot see, it puts a primacy on learning HOW to see the invisible. Which you constantly do, naturally do, like breathing.
So the claim that not being able to see a thing makes ferretting out its existence a waste of time, is a form of laziness, not reason. But then you knew all that, before typing. :)
@brainouty So all those things I just said, you would personally spend your time trying to find out if they're real or not?
I'm sorry, I just found this window sitting open on my other computer with this unposted comment.
But while I'm here, I might as well add. Could you list the things which are real which I cannot see? And I hope not to see a religious example, as that would be circular logic.
Any others reading who'd like to answer, please feel free to, I think brainouty has given up.
(Disclaimer: This response is just an observation I made by personal experiences and is not aimed to hurt anyone)
Let me start of by saying I only know 2 Christians(I live in Belgium so theists are a rare breed) and both of them are just like you brainouty very good at redefining words. They can let a word mean anything they want.
Best example I have is my religious teacher reading a poem about how greed robs you from your freedom.
I told him I considered it pretty ironic. Somebody chained to his believes talking about freedom. He began to explain how people can be free in a prison.
Now I can write a lot about this wordtwisting and I have plenty of examples but I'll end with a quote from Bill Maher.
"Either words have meaning or they don't". In a theists view I think any word can have any meaning they want to give it.
It would be a lot easier to listen to theists talking about things like morals if we actually believed they had any. Because by the way they're mostly talking. The only reason they do good is because of fear from hell.
Theists often use 2 standpoints and abuse the positive side of it twice.
f.ex. I know God exists but it's a belief so you can't attack me on it
Then the start changing the law because of their beliefs. But knowledge can be attacked with other knowledge at which point in turns into a belief again which is ofcourse unable to change anything in the real world.
In the end I have to say that the fiew Christians I have met are hypocrites at it's finest. Judgmental as can be.
That isn't only my opinion, but that of my entire class.
@Londron You are entitled to your opinion, but since you only know 2 Christians, should you extrapolate your experience to a whole class? God forbid I should class all atheists based on my rather negative experience with many of them on Youtube. Thankfully I know better than to do that.
For our experience is not relevant. God is not people. Forget people, just ask 'the ceiling', 'God, do you exist?' If you WANT to know, you will. If you DON'T want to know, you won't. Tres claire, tres simple.
A mere consensus does not equal truth. People can be fooled.
Testimonials do not equate to evidence. People can lie/hallucinate.
"If atheist, why?[...]Many choose atheism to rebel against society."
Well, no. That's not it. I'll tell you why I became an atheist.
There are many religions. They all claim to be divinely inspired. Their teachings contradict one-another and themselves, And not one of them can provide an iota of evidence to back up their claims except some old books. That's why.
How do you know you have a soul? You say it is through your soul you know God is real, so tell me how you know it's there and how I can access it. If you can tell me that, then I'd convert. That would be enough evidence for me.
@Oicurmtoyoy You just wrote a comment from thin air. A soul is immaterial, its thoughts are immaterial. You can't 'read' thought biologically. All you can prove from biology, is that thoughts occur, but you're only seeing the electrical impulse REACTION among the synapses. You can't see the thoughts themselves, like you can see mitochondria.
@brainouty But then there's no reason to believe, is there? Electrical impulses account for any and all of our thoughts. If you can't show me that souls exist, then there's no reason to believe. You could at least tell me how you know souls exist.
@Oicurmtoyoy I just proved to you that your soul is immaterial. So you are baiting, like most of the idiotic atheists on Youboob. There are some real, thinking atheists. But you are not one of them. Bye.
@brainouty I didn't ask about material. I was asking how you know a soul exists. Not even how you can prove it to me, just how do YOU know? What makes you, personally, think that a soul exists? Btw, telling me that a soul must be immaterial doesn't constitute proof.
@brainouty Perhaps I should rephrase what I've said. You have not proved the soul is immaterial, you've only proved that you think so. You say that the electrical impulses in our brains are only reactions, but you haven't proved it. Sharing your opinion without evidence isn't the same as proving something. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is invisible and intangible, the bible was just put there to mislead you. Same concept. A statement without evidence. One which carries no weight.
@Oicurmtoyoy The statement, "you just wrote that comment from thin air" doesn't constitute proof either. It presupposes that you're right. If I'm right, then that comment was a result of the information in your video reacting with the information in my brain. Nothing more than a chain reaction.
@MomoTheBellyDancer Yes, I did prove it, and now you did, too. For in psychology there are two types of mental illness, organic and non-organic. The latter is characterized by intense use of 'defense mechanisms', the first of which is Denial.
You deny the obvious, so obviously you have a soul, and the illness of denial is never organic. So if not biological, then immaterial.
So you and Oicurmtoyoy prove to have immaterial souls, and proved my point. Thanks.
@MomoTheBellyDancer You're a bigger jerk than I thought. GOOGLE, you jerk, on 'defense mechanism', and 'organically-induced mental illness'. I will not reply to you again. Psychology is a science, you idiot, and I used ITS TERMS, jackass.
Punk kids like you should just be shot on sight. Real humans with real minds THINK before they talk like a donkey. BYE.
@brainouty And that's the end. I'll no longer reply to punks. People paid with their lives in WWII and Vietnam and now in Iraq and Afghanistan, so that you jackasses would be free to be idiots. And this is how you use your time? Forget it. Stay ignorant and fancy yourself 'rational'. I'll not disabuse you of your fantasies.
Too many people in this world are GOOD atheists with REAL questions needing answers. I'll spend time with them, but not you!
Yes, I tend to be a big jerk to people who tell lies.
"defense mechanism"
Nowhere it is said that defense mechanisms have a non-material cause. It's also flippant how "non-material" psychotic symptoms can be treated with medication.
I watched the vid, one thing i noticed you saying a lot was that you know things, like you know you have an immaterial soul, and that jesus exists. etc. But you don't elaborate on how you know. Your only arguments are that the bible can be interpreteed in different ways, while I'm trying to keep an open mind and see a good argument in the vid, unfortunately there isn't one.
I'm glad to see you have left comments open. I have noticed many pro-christian videos like to censor comments. Also when I tell my niece that I see that the cloud looks like a bunny then for some reason she thinks it looks like a bunny.
@pmk422 I always believe in free speech. Baby Christians are threatened by it. But I'm not a baby Christian. When I feel like arguing, I'll do that too, warts and all. Generally I don't reply, since the folks commenting here, already watched the video. :)
Eye witness testimony is the most unreliable type of evidence is court. It happens to (unfortunately) be the most convincing, but it's also the most wrong. Just thought I'd put that out there.
Is it me or does this guy like to say lack of faith??? How is this going to encourge anyone to believe in christ? he just kept going on and on and on and on. Thats why im athiest. Because I dont read and the people who explain it are boring.
Faith is any cognitive content that you hold true, religion abuses this. A question, if you and all other religious people stopped believing in god, would a cease to exist?
With enough time I may make a video response to this video to pay more respect to you thoughts and speech.
Though I just wanted to say that religion exploits the vulnerability of others and has done nothing to improve our lives. All it has done is hold us back and tears us who are suppose to be one apart. Religion is generates the same hatred, separation and ignorance that gives birth to slavery, racism and homophobia.
You have no evidence, and I dont think people seeing something proves that it's true, maybe they just want to promote their agenda, and i dont care if that "proves" stuff in the court of law, because to me, it DOESNT. it proves the people"seeing" a thing happens have motive to get the person they're acusing in jail.
I don't know if you genuinely believe that the lack of faith is what causes people to do bad things or if you're just trying to sway people to your side by expressing your opinion as eloquently as possible, but you're wrong. Example: the more certain someones is that he'll get what he wants in heaven if he suicide bombs, the more likely he is to suicide bomb.
Your other point basically breaks down to an argument of popularity, which is a logical fallacy.
These debates are so pointless..Christian Arguement: God is real because we see him and if everyone else says that I am wrong well your just ignorant..and my beliefs are allllll right.
Athiest Arguement: Scientific proof, that what you see is in your head, and other scientific facts
I don't know why I bothered posting this but telling a guy who believes a talking snake, and eating god's flesh sounds ok?
You're not a first hand eye witness at all. You're a person with a predisposition to believe there's a higher power who - through geographical accident alone, has found a set of archaic beliefs that complement your gut instinct.
There is no proof of a God beyond this "feeling." And circumstantial, unverifiable evidence, would not stand up in your rhetorical and hypothetical "court of law"
You assert your belief as if you are "more aware" and with "greater understanding" than other christians.
"some of us have more understanding then others" how do you know? & how can you judge?
The majority isnt always right. If everyone believed in invisible child-raping robots and spent billions on hi-tech tin foil caps to stop them - would you just go along with it, claiming "some of us have seen/imagined him more than others" ?
Assuming god(s) exists, why does he need you to talk him into existence. Is he not powerful enough to reveal himself objectively to everyone?
I generally preach religious tolerance, at least until someone challenges me. If you claim lack of faith is the downfall of our society, why are there so many Christians?
I would also like to point out that the bible exists the same reason why all books exist. Man wrote it. And another thing I'd like to point out, there are millions of christians, right? What about millions of other people in a different religion who claim to see their God, who claim that their God is the only true god? And when I say that I promise you, I'm not trying to be rude in any way. I don't believe in god, but I don't deny the possibility.
"Evil" isn't due to faith or lack there-of, it is due to a humans natural instinct, what you would call "Being born into sin" or what non believers would call, well, natural instinct. Humans are naturally selfish. Humans are naturally horrible people. And you claim you see god? Forgive me, I do not seem to sound rude, but how do you know it's not just you thinking? And why don't atheists see God? God could appear to atheists if he wanted to, but he hasn't, which explains why atheists are athiest
yea.. ignorance creates monsters... we need more racists, homophobes, murderers, people that use abortion as a war tactic and people who hate their own family members and friends when they happen to believe something different than them because that is what the bible tells us to do.
People could lie 2000 years ago, there are no evidence that we have a soul, it doesn't need to be a who that created the world, adding god is adding something unnecessary that only creates even more questions.
due to faith you imagine to know.. everything (isn't this a bit arrogant, and isn't arrogance a lack of self confidence?) , and by this you think you've got the right to invade the life of the others.. on a daily basis - that's why people still feel the need to argue about it - due to your lack of respect .. also towards yourself.
@Elvisdogg It is even more useless talking to punk kids with sock accounts. Someone else marked your comment as spam. I won't, because idiots should be publicly exposed.
@brainouty That's also why your comment hasnt been marked as spam.
And what's the issue with being punk? Or a kid... Also I DO want an answer. Literally, does god have an issue with punks? Or kids? Doesnt he love all of us? Including punks and kids... and thereby punks who are kids of course...
And, you know, you're suppose to LOVE THY ENEMY, I'm sure you don't know that though, try reading your bible. And if you're going to say you're religious, adhere to laws of the religion.
@runyscape967 You don't want answers, you want to bait. You even twisted my due-diligence administrative remark that someone marked your comment as spam, and I unmarked it, so to make it show. Thanks for proving why I should have stopped talking to you, and did. I won't reply again.
@DoomNoMore NO one believes in talking bushes, and there are no talking bushes in the Bible. Since you can't even read plain English (verses God talked WITHIN the bush, doesn't say the bush talked), your scientific reasoning is kindergarten at best.
All you guys are this dumb. You just parrot stuff, have no personal knowledge of anything. So I make an example of you in this post, and ignore the other nutters posting here. Have at it, expose your own ignorance. I won't reply again.
@DoomNoMore Hey, punk kid! I exposed your ignorance on my channel page, since you chose to put it there, first. WATCH OUT next time, before you spam. Your complete stupidity is now enshrined for the world to see. You can't delete your channel page comments like you can the comments here. And I won't delete your asinine remark.
@DoomNoMore Hey -- if you act like a jackass, you'll be treated like one. It's channel policy with Christians, Muslims, whoever. So that's how it goes. If you want to be treated with respect, then ACT with respect. Otherwise, shove off. I won't block you, but rather just won't talk to you anymore.
@brainouty Another common misconception found among the religious. Respect isn't some sort of act of reciprocity; I don't respect someone because they respect me, or vice versa. Respect isn't doled out in return for the respect of someone else, it is earned or gained because of previous behaviour or action. It is from the Latin respicere, to look behind.
I thank you, however, for providing such a succinct description of religion in your comment. "It's policy...so that's how it goes" - word!
Furthermore, we are making vast strides in understanding the neurological underpinnings for belief and feeling of god, when we can make you feel god with a flip of a switch, what would you say then? Is god some immaterial being, or the scientist controlling a helmet you're wearing?
Argument ad populim is a fallacy. Don't compare consensus in evolution with consensus in god, we have vast material evidence from very different disciplines all agreeing, all reproducible, all viewable to all. You have consensus in god not in what is empirical, but in what is felt. You claim that I have a hotline to god and can ask anytime for proof, and arrogantly assume I have never tried. I have, I prayed and asked god for anything that could help me know him and waited, nothing came.
TO EVERYONE ELSE: It's fine if you want to criticize, but it's not fine if you don't do your homework. Example: atheists base their arguments on CONSENSUS. So, this video shows that since y'all do that, why are you ignoring the LARGER CONSENSUS that 'god' in some manner, exists?
Not ONE atheist commenting so far, 'gets' that. Ok, it's your free right to waste your time. But I'll not let you waste mine. Comment like an adult, or I'll cream you in reply. Punks are not tolerated here.
TO EVERYONE ELSE: Atheism or theism is your free right to choose. I too reserve the right to become an atheist tomorrow.
But if you want to make baiting, emotionally- and intellectually-immature comments, be my guest. From now on I will ignore them.
Few thinking atheists exist. On Youtube, I've only found four. To them, I will reply, and with respect. The rest of you debase your home country's soldiers who died for your freedom, and deserve only contempt.
Hang on?...You say it's lack of faith that is the problem then you try and speak for all christians and say you see, feel and know god. That is faith!!! And then merely rstate the no true scotsman fallacy as if you have discovered a new idea, or way of wriggling out of defending the ideas of your religion or it's text! You also seem to disregard the fact that every person/group/sect who believes in a personal "god" thinks of a different god in definition. Just uttering the same word, not idea!
@Christopholaes I never claim to speak for all Christians. As did Davy, you twist what is said in order to make the disgusting and irrelevant comments you make. Good bye.
@brainouty and that comment is not arrogant, i just know i'm right i know, i know, i will hear no discussion on the topic, goodbye. ( as i have no answer). Are you that shallow of a mind? I thought better of you in your earlier comments this shows true weakness. I'm a sock for davy am i? Persecution complex much? Whole world out to getcha huh? Oh dear! I really do feel sorry for u! You think that was a clever answer!?How was my comment disgusting in anyway, other than it questions your argument?
@brainouty so i'm right about everything I think about u, weak minded and utterly useless at answering questions on the issues u raise. Pathetic! thanks for showing your own blatant arrogance in this reply. P.S. is Mephisto a youtuber, or are you referring to the demon god stolen by christian mythology to serve as an analogy or counterpart for Lucifer? If so, also very weak. It's another threat of damnation arrrgghhh! I'm so scared of a place that never existed....
Did you know that it's very hard to define schizophrenia from strong belief?
Your right about witnesses being evidence In Court, but when what those "Witnesses" describe could have just as well be explained by an onslaught of emotions or some bodily-made pleasure givers their testimony immediately becomes invalid
B.t.w. have you ever actually read the "holy" bible? Because Jesus talked about justifying stealing horses, and killing some people. so lack of belief is good in my opinion.
@DavySigfusson Clearly you've never read the Bible, so I'll not respond to your ridiculous question. You were a tad more intelligent when talking about the issue of witness credibility. And of course that's a valid point. Christians, like any other group of people, have their fair share of wackos who claim to have 'visitations', etc. Not much different from the UFO people (i.e., in Gallipolis, OH 1967).
You separate sheep from the goats by careful exam. Schizophrenia is diagnosable.
@DavySigfusson Okay, since you've proven yourself twice now to be an ignoramus, I'll cease talking to you. I can talk to intelligent atheists, I don't need goofballs like you to waste my day.
@Christopholaes Yes, you jackass punk, so sad you can't READ THE REFUTATION of what I said in not only these comments, but also the videos.
You punk kids really deserve to be shot. But instead, I'll just block you. I'm SOO sick of punks, be they Christian or atheist punks. My generation died on Hamburger Hill so that you can puke your rot. Die, then. In your arrogant ignorance.
@Christopholaes watch?v=-v3uDgWtX4 . That's the last point to make.
Honestly, it's not the fact that you and others are atheists which is bothersome. IT'S YOUR CHILDISH AND NO-HOMEWORK ASININE COMMENTS which are bothersome. Christian punks are no better.
@DavySigfusson Heads-up, dingbat -- when you badmouth a book you haven't or can't read, you ADVERTISE YOURSELF AS A JACKASS. The KJVO people do that all the time, claiming they can read the Hebrew and Greek. And you here can't even read the English, but oh you'll parrot HEARSAY without checking it.
So how 'scientific' are you? NOT AT ALL. Bray away, jackass. I'll not reply.
@brainouty I'm pretty sure you haven't either "dingbat", since you question if this passage is in the new testament, or that says it directly without much metaphor (which it does). Well at least you infer it's fabrication in your vehement attack of Davies honest statement. DO you have any honesty in you at all? "I'll not reply" Well that says it all doesn't it Brainouty. That's because you don't have one, do you, what a blatantly pathetic attempt to cover the fact YOU haven't read your own bible
@Christopholaes I never questionned whether the passage is in the NT. I stopped talking to Davy, as my comment showed. His 'question' (really another excuse to continue baiting) was posted after I stopped talking to him.
@brainouty Davy openly admitted he has not read the entire bible, yet your credibility in this regard is surely lacking as well. You did not answer the question he posed, and what he asked u about IS in the bible iI have read it and STILL think it's rubbish. Instead of answering a honest moral question, you leap on the fact he admits he has not read the bible himself and begin making baseless accusations of ignorance. And then finish of with your own brand of ignorance, sheep and goats? MORON
Since like Davy (are you a sock account, Davy in disguise, perhaps) -- you are here to bait, have at it. Alone.
I got better things to do than talk to baiters. Honestly, when I think of the good soldiers who had to fight and die so that arrogant jerks like you could live and post, I want to vomit.
Due to the lack of faith, we don't know that Santa's reindeer can fly. Due to the lack of faith we don't put cookies out for Santa every Christmas. Due to the lack of faith we don't be good little boys and girls so that we don't get coal for Christmas. "Due to the lack of faith, we are monsters."
We just don't have enough Christmas stories. This is why we aren't aSanta-ists. We know him. We see him. We know it's true because we argue about the original color of his grey beard.
1. Seriously, LanceDirk, every day that flash of memory happens. And much more. For example, I was thinking about Christian apostacy and suddenly "always learning, never able" came to mind, and I thought that was 2Tim3:5, but wasn't sure, then realized it was 2Tim3:7. As soon as I loaded it up in BibleWorks and looked at the end of the Greek sentence, He made me know that the Greek was deliberately backwards. I don't know Greek that well, so had to search it. It WAS deliberately backwards.
@brainouty The point is it would be impressive if you "remembered" something you never knew or could have known, but remembering something you do or did or might know is called... memory. Memory works, not always, but sometimes.
None of those are true. If I'm not ready now, I'll never be. I definitely want to know. I don't know what you mean by not willing.
LanceDirk, I can't even remember what I ate for lunch yesterday. I cited the example not to prove God, but to ILLUSTRATE how supernaturality works. We Christians are supposed to explain, only. GOD does the proving.
Now that's really your second question. To say that you'll never be ready if not now, can't be accurate. You change daily. Wanting to know is good. Unwillingness reflects foreknown reaction: preparation must precede disclosure, since liability attends disclosure.
@brainouty You demonstrate a startling lack of understanding of the capriciousness of memory, nothing more, and nothing approaching the supernatural.
I know I'm ready because I've considered the consequences of god being real vs. not being. I have no intention of changing my standard of behavior without having good reason to think god exists, so if I have to change, then the way to do it would be for god to show me something. I don't want there to be a god, but if god showed himself I'd change
Okay, LanceDirk, you're playing the denial game now. I just gave you examples and they are real. You don't know my memory problems, and you don't know my proficiency with Greek, I had to confess them to you. And then you treat my answers as if they were lies.
As for your being ready, you are very self-satisfied so you are not ready for a change. Only doubt makes for a readiness for change.
Again, this is true for all of us. I have my 'sticking points' with God, and so does everyone else.
@brainouty I saw part of your conversation with another guy too, and that one seemed to end with you accusing him of lies too. Hmm
Since when has readiness for change been equivalent with desire to change? So wanting to know if god is real so I'll know if I should change isn't enough, I have to want to change anyway?
Lastly, not being able to remember what you had for breakfast isn't memory problems, it's normal, just as flashes of memory are normal too. No reason to say god's doing it.
@brainouty Greek thing- If you could not have had any inkling that portion was backwards due to having no familiarity with Greek at all, then as I said, that would have been impressive. The way you described it that's not the case though.
You did not state anything to me that even resembles a memory problem. You said you confessed memory problems to me. I honestly don't see it.
I started this to see how flashes of memory = god, so maybe I'm the naive one for thinking you'd demonstrate that.
No, you disclosed two confessions, I said they were not outside the realm of normal memory function, and you said nothing to challenge that or defend them. You said you were naive to expect a conversation. What should I have said to make this one, considering my HONEST reaction to your statements was what I described. Should I have said "wow, that is amazing!"?
I confessed to you I don't want there to be a god, but I want to know if there is one, but you acted like that was a lie too, so...
@brainouty Lol is this how you react when people don't just accept your claims and the explanations you've come up with immediately? Throw a temper tantrum and accuse me of baiting and spitting on your confessions (not claims?)
I never challenged your claims about whether you actually thought of what you did and that you don't know much Greek. I just fail to see how that demonstrates god. If that's baiting or spitting on you, then I'd be curious how you'd do as a witness in court...
Last I checked, this is the U.S., so I can reply to you all I want. It doesn't surprise me that you won't reply, because you can't refute facts. You say I lie, but you haven't demonstrated that. What I assert, I support with concrete examples, while you make bogus claims of congruity. Did you check the dictionary? Did you read John against the other gospels? Did you research pistis to see the debate: does it mean firmness, faith, belief, trust, assurance? There is no mention of content, PERIOD!
Btw, I'd like concrete proof to back your argument. Cite chapter/verse for each point made. You can't make the Bible say things that it doesn't. NONE of the Gospels agree 100%. Please research before making ignorant assertions. Some accounts were too docetic (like Peter's Gospel; ever read it?); others failed to mention a shred of evidence for the central claims of JC being The Son of Man. Wonder why? Ever read Judas's account? Why does Peter not mention EVER seeing JC again after his death?
BTW, what part about 'go lie elsewhere' and 'I'll not reply to you further' did you fail to read well? If you can't read my comments, you can't read Bible. And you certainly didn't read my other videos, which DO back up the claims made.
So I WILL NO LONGER REPLY TO YOU. There, the caps should be enough.
New World Dictionary of the Amer. Lang. is the dictionary that defined faith as "unquestioning belief." As for the Gospels agreeing, none agrees on JC's resurrection from the tomb. Who was present? Who told who what? When? None of Paul's 4 accounts of meeting JC agree with each other; none of the Gospels corroborates his "blinding" story. None agree with John for exorcisms, J's baptism, duration of ministry, location of ministry, parents, or 1st appearance after death. Care to show me proof?
Or, ever wonder why all the Gospels can't agree on JC? Ever wonder about the dearth of evidence for him in the Bible? Is it because no one in history who lived in JC's time ever wrote anything down? Possibly. Or is it rather that the Gospels were plagiarized accounts, written decades after JC's "death" by people who spoke Greek (not Aramaic, like the illiterate apostles), who lived two countries away with ZERO chance of ever having seen him for themselves? NO WITNESSES necessitates your faith.
Lastly, arguments about an old book do nothing for its veracity. The Bible is a plagiarized book of fairy tales. Any scholar can tell you that. Have you not investigated for yourself? Arguing over its stories doesn't make any of them true. People argue over Harry Potter books. People argue over Wittgenstein's philosophy but that doesn't make it accurate. Let's begin with the secular history of Jesus. That will take about a nanosecond--no mention of him anywhere, eh? Wonder why?
"Faith" derives from Latin ("fides<fidere, to trust"). The notion of "pistis" is up for argument, or didn't you know that? Just as the Hebrew word for "virgin" (almah) really means "young maid." If you reviewed your Genesis more carefully, you'd find tens of errors in translation as well as tens of logical errors. I mean, it was copied from Egyptian and Babylonian myths idea for idea. Or didn't you know that? The Flood? Babylonian. Talking snake? That, too. Mary&Joseph who bore a son? Egyptian!
@Brainouty. Your lack of knowledge about reality is breathtaking. Faith is not an enabling condition for sending messages. Nor is it required to breathe. Infants don't need faith to breathe, and electronic messages are not relayed via faith, but rather light, electricity, etc. To boot, which definition for faith notes "CONTENT of a belief?" My Webster's defines it as "unquestioning belief; unquestioning belief in God, religion, etc.; anything believed." It's the "unquestioning" part that gets me
dnaversa, your ignorant comments prove you the ignorant one. The Gospels agree 100%, for example. But people don't take the time to read them.
Greek word pistis, usually translated 'faith', first means the CONTENT of belief, in every lexicon of repute, and is provable from Bible. And Webster's does not define 'faith' as 'unquestionning belief', that's something you made up.
Bye. You're not worth replying to further. Go lie elsewhere.
De4sher, didn't you have to use faith, to type your comment? Didn't you BELIEVE that you could type it? Didn't you BELIEVE it would post? Didn't you BELIEVE that it ought to be posted? Didn't you BELIEVE that once posted, it would be seen?
See, you need belief to even breathe. THAT is what's called 'faith'. The word 'faith' means first that the content of something is trustworthy -- or at least you think it is, so you BELIEVE in it.
I started at some time experimenting with reality, and i came up with the hypothesis that "if i type, stuff would come up on the screen".
I tested it, and it worked. Tested it repeated times, it worked. I expect it to work, however i will change my strategy when, and if that doesn't work anymore.
I don't believe, i just do what works.
Or in your interpretation, i believe it 95%, rely on it to work, but am ready if it doesn't work.
@SakyuaMezukai Since you think I am male, this added stupid comment of yours is quite interesting. So you prove you do no homework, and cannot read, either, as my comment to you had nothing to do with gender.
Grow up, learn to think. You won't. You're too full of yourself.
brainouty 4 months ago
@brainouty FYI to others: not all atheists are as arrogant and stupid as Sakyua here. Don't judge all atheists by her. Many atheists are good people, and many more don't buy evolution. Evolution doesn't prove or disprove God's Existence, as it is a hypothesis of cause and effect which never can account for INITIAL SOURCE. So be an atheist, or not, as suits your conscience. Just do your homework before you comment on my videos, or I'll chew you out for being a slipshod scholar.

Nor Greek, nor satire, nor about anything. You just spout off nonsense thinking yourself smart when you do it.

I've read the Bible. You aren't going to convince me that it isn't the most boring, perverse, violent, and confused thing I've ever read. If it's not precise enough for me to interpret it without someone else's help, it's not precise.
AllOtherNamesTaken2 5 months ago
The bible is so contradictory and so vague that you can interpret it any god damn way you want.
AllOtherNamesTaken2 5 months ago
@AllOtherNamesTaken2 No, actually it's very precise. For the past 8 months I've been demonstrating in videos, live from the Greek meter how Paul tracked the next 434 years of Roman history you can verify, back in 56 AD. Many examples like that one. So the problem is, people don't read Bible properly. Not, the Bible. Since you just parrot what you think absent homework, you obviously don't read it, either.
Next time, do some homework before you make stupid comments.

@brainouty Another rather more likely hypothesis is that these texts were modified later to match the predictions. Food for thought that does not require making massive leaps of illogic and the ridiculous presumption of an "uncreated" creator to "explain" why we're here...
hznfrst 3 months ago
@hznfrst Rather less likely, since the Greek is 1st century, dummy. Do your homework before you parrot stuff you know nothing about. I show the Greek onscreen. We can prove it's first century, even as you can prove that the 1611 KJV was really written four centuries prior. IF YOU CAN READ THE LANGUAGE.
You can't. You're just another Youtube idiot spouting ignorant parrottings. Do your homework, if you don't want to get nasty replies like this from me. Atheism is fine. Laziness is not.
brainouty 3 months ago
@brainouty Actually I can read some Greek, and your presumption that I can't - or that your text is authentic - is evidence that you are the one who's full of shit. The very idea of prophecy is absurd and requires far more evidence than you or anyone has ever provided. You'r e nothing but a potty-mouthed, ignorant troll.
hznfrst 3 months ago
@hznfrst Actually, you can't. If you could, you'd never make such ignorant remarks. If you could read Greek, then you'd know how Paul swears. Bible swearing is common, even in Hebrew. So you just proved yourself a liar. Bye.

You might want to re-read genesis, as this is the same literalist bullshit that brings the "Separation of Church and State isn't in the Constitution" bullshit out. It's not directly said (both Church/State separation and universe creation), but it's implied so fucking heavily that it might as well be.

"Many choose atheism to rebel against society."

Well I do have a question for you, how do you know what you see is real?
Actually, before you answer that, could you tell me what "know" means please? who knows, you might even be able to fit them both in the same reply.
Thank you.
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
@KevinLounsberry Perceptive questions! You can take those same questions and flip, to: 1) how do you know that what you cannot see, is NOT real? 2) how can you NOT know what 'know' means?
Funny you'd post this just after I finished my ROA video series and the Seeing the Invisible video.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty I know what "know" means, and I feel you are using it incorrectly, so I would like to know what you understand it to mean.
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
@KevinLounsberry When you know something, you know you know. But when you pretend to know in order to cover up ignorance or uncomfortable knowledge, then the claim to know is bluster. The bluster will be revealed in a Lady-MacBeth type unconscious manner, always calling the SELF rational or free or knowing, in order to bluff away the discomfort.
True knowledge doesn't need pimping. :)
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty It's very clear you're not telling me what you understand "know" to mean, do you have an answer or not, and talking about pimping now? I said nothing about pimping or pimping knowledge, are you insane or did I just get trolled?
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
@KevinLounsberry Okay, you're somehow descending into baiting. I thought you were really thinking in terms of principle, and this second time you needlessly accuse without pondering my reply tells me you're only here to argue. Feel free to do that,, but I'll no longer reply, nor read what you say.
Respect means reading what someone writes. You prove to have none, so will get none.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty I'd be very interested to hear about what I've done you consider to be baiting, You're the one talking about pimping and repeatedly dodging my question of what you think "know" means. I also haven't accused you of anything, simply wondered if you're insane or a troll.
"thinking in terms of principal" it's really hard to get more vague than that. Can you, please, just choose words which accurately describe what you're thinking, regardless of how big or poetic they might sound?
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
@KevinLounsberry I dodged nothing. End. Talk all you want now, having proved yourself yet another punk on Youtube. Pity. I thought you were talking in terms of principle, at first. But you just proved you cannot even spell it, and are too lazy to look it up. Another punk, dime a dozen.
BYE.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty If you didn't dodge my question, why don't I see an answer to it in this reply? And both spellings are correct, they just have different meanings, I did intend to say "principle", it's a common typing error, not that spelling takes any priority in a debate. I mean really, is that all you have left to disagree with me on? my spelling? Principle is a descriptive word, to use it properly you must first state what you are using it to describe or you're being too vague to comprehend.
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
And I don't know that what I cannot see isn't real, but there is literally an infinite number of things I cannot see. I definitely don't see any giants around here. I definitely don't see pink elephants. I don't see your mother on a street corner either, and I definitely don't see her accepting money from what appear to be strangers.
If I can't see it, or can't see evidence of it, it's nothing short of a waste of my time to think about whether or not it's real.
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
@KevinLounsberry Au contraire. Since you know that there are so many REAL things you cannot see, it puts a primacy on learning HOW to see the invisible. Which you constantly do, naturally do, like breathing.
So the claim that not being able to see a thing makes ferretting out its existence a waste of time, is a form of laziness, not reason. But then you knew all that, before typing. :)
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty So all those things I just said, you would personally spend your time trying to find out if they're real or not?
I'm sorry, I just found this window sitting open on my other computer with this unposted comment.
But while I'm here, I might as well add. Could you list the things which are real which I cannot see? And I hope not to see a religious example, as that would be circular logic.
Any others reading who'd like to answer, please feel free to, I think brainouty has given up.

Personal revelation is not proof. Just look at a psychiatric center and what the people there believe to have gotten revealed.
janeyanna 1 year ago
(Disclaimer: This response is just an observation I made by personal experiences and is not aimed to hurt anyone)
Let me start of by saying I only know 2 Christians(I live in Belgium so theists are a rare breed) and both of them are just like you brainouty very good at redefining words. They can let a word mean anything they want.
Best example I have is my religious teacher reading a poem about how greed robs you from your freedom.
Londron 1 year ago
@Londron
Londron 1 year ago
@Londron
A genocide becomes a purification f.ex.
It would be a lot easier to listen to theists talking about things like morals if we actually believed they had any. Because by the way they're mostly talking. The only reason they do good is because of fear from hell.
Theists often use 2 standpoints and abuse the positive side of it twice.
Londron 1 year ago
@Londron
Londron 1 year ago
@Londron You are entitled to your opinion, but since you only know 2 Christians, should you extrapolate your experience to a whole class? God forbid I should class all atheists based on my rather negative experience with many of them on Youtube. Thankfully I know better than to do that.
For our experience is not relevant. God is not people. Forget people, just ask 'the ceiling', 'God, do you exist?' If you WANT to know, you will. If you DON'T want to know, you won't. Tres claire, tres simple.
brainouty 1 year ago

Oicurmtoyoy 1 year ago
@Oicurmtoyoy You just wrote a comment from thin air. A soul is immaterial, its thoughts are immaterial. You can't 'read' thought biologically. All you can prove from biology, is that thoughts occur, but you're only seeing the electrical impulse REACTION among the synapses. You can't see the thoughts themselves, like you can see mitochondria.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty But then there's no reason to believe, is there? Electrical impulses account for any and all of our thoughts. If you can't show me that souls exist, then there's no reason to believe. You could at least tell me how you know souls exist.
Oicurmtoyoy 1 year ago
@Oicurmtoyoy I just proved to you that your soul is immaterial. So you are baiting, like most of the idiotic atheists on Youboob. There are some real, thinking atheists. But you are not one of them. Bye.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty I didn't ask about material. I was asking how you know a soul exists. Not even how you can prove it to me, just how do YOU know? What makes you, personally, think that a soul exists? Btw, telling me that a soul must be immaterial doesn't constitute proof.
Oicurmtoyoy 1 year ago
@brainouty Perhaps I should rephrase what I've said. You have not proved the soul is immaterial, you've only proved that you think so. You say that the electrical impulses in our brains are only reactions, but you haven't proved it. Sharing your opinion without evidence isn't the same as proving something. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is invisible and intangible, the bible was just put there to mislead you. Same concept. A statement without evidence. One which carries no weight.
Oicurmtoyoy 1 year ago
@Oicurmtoyoy The statement, "you just wrote that comment from thin air" doesn't constitute proof either. It presupposes that you're right. If I'm right, then that comment was a result of the information in your video reacting with the information in my brain. Nothing more than a chain reaction.
Oicurmtoyoy 1 year ago

"I just proved to you that your soul is immaterial."

MomoTheBellyDancer 1 year ago
@MomoTheBellyDancer Yes, I did prove it, and now you did, too. For in psychology there are two types of mental illness, organic and non-organic. The latter is characterized by intense use of 'defense mechanisms', the first of which is Denial.
You deny the obvious, so obviously you have a soul, and the illness of denial is never organic. So if not biological, then immaterial.
So you and Oicurmtoyoy prove to have immaterial souls, and proved my point. Thanks.

Religion is generates the same hatred, separation and ignorance that gives birth to slavery, racism and homophobia.
GoodBadAndGrey 1 year ago
You have no evidence, and I dont think people seeing something proves that it's true, maybe they just want to promote their agenda, and i dont care if that "proves" stuff in the court of law, because to me, it DOESNT. it proves the people"seeing" a thing happens have motive to get the person they're acusing in jail.
runyscape967 1 year ago

Lack of faith doesn't create monsters. Lack of faith create intelligent humans that question thins instead of just swallowing them up.

I would also like to point out that the bible exists the same reason why all books exist. Man wrote it. And another thing I'd like to point out, there are millions of christians, right? What about millions of other people in a different religion who claim to see their God, who claim that their God is the only true god? And when I say that I promise you, I'm not trying to be rude in any way. I don't believe in god, but I don't deny the possibility.
HiLRoYpwns 1 year ago
"Evil" isn't due to faith or lack there-of, it is due to a humans natural instinct, what you would call "Being born into sin" or what non believers would call, well, natural instinct. Humans are naturally selfish. Humans are naturally horrible people. And you claim you see god? Forgive me, I do not seem to sound rude, but how do you know it's not just you thinking? And why don't atheists see God? God could appear to atheists if he wanted to, but he hasn't, which explains why atheists are athiest
HiLRoYpwns 1 year ago
yea.. ignorance creates monsters... we need more racists, homophobes, murderers, people that use abortion as a war tactic and people who hate their own family members and friends when they happen to believe something different than them because that is what the bible tells us to do.

Not ONE atheist commenting so far, 'gets' that. Ok, it's your free right to waste your time. But I'll not let you waste mine. Comment like an adult, or I'll cream you in reply. Punks are not tolerated here.

So how 'scientific' are you? NOT AT ALL. Bray away, jackass. I'll not reply.
brainouty 1 year ago
@brainouty I'm pretty sure you haven't either "dingbat", since you question if this passage is in the new testament, or that says it directly without much metaphor (which it does). Well at least you infer it's fabrication in your vehement attack of Davies honest statement. DO you have any honesty in you at all? "I'll not reply" Well that says it all doesn't it Brainouty. That's because you don't have one, do you, what a blatantly pathetic attempt to cover the fact YOU haven't read your own bible

@brainouty Davy openly admitted he has not read the entire bible, yet your credibility in this regard is surely lacking as well. 7410n0 2 years ago
Lol, I just read the description, and you attributed a flash of memory to God.
But seriously, what happens if I have asked and haven't gotten an answer?
LanceDirk 2 years ago
It WAS deliberately backwards.
brainouty 2 years ago
2. So if you ask but don't get an answer, one of the following causes apply -- to anyone, moi aussi.
a. Not ready for the answer. The answer is bigger than you expect; it would hurt you to know now. So it's dribbled out to you as you can withstand it.
b. Not willing for the answer. So instead of giving 'it' to you, forays are made to motivate a change of willingness.
c. You don't WANT an answer. Then you won't get it.
Same is true for all of us. I'm in an a-c state on 'something', daily.
brainouty 2 years ago
@brainouty The point is it would be impressive if you "remembered" something you never knew or could have known, but remembering something you do or did or might know is called... memory. Memory works, not always, but sometimes.
None of those are true. If I'm not ready now, I'll never be. I definitely want to know. I don't know what you mean by not willing.
LanceDirk 2 years ago
LanceDirk, I can't even remember what I ate for lunch yesterday. I cited the example not to prove God, but to ILLUSTRATE how supernaturality works. We Christians are supposed to explain, only. GOD does the proving.
Now that's really your second question. To say that you'll never be ready if not now, can't be accurate. You change daily. Wanting to know is good. Unwillingness reflects foreknown reaction: preparation must precede disclosure, since liability attends disclosure.
brainouty 2 years ago
@brainouty You demonstrate a startling lack of understanding of the capriciousness of memory, nothing more, and nothing approaching the supernatural.
I know I'm ready because I've considered the consequences of god being real vs. not being. I have no intention of changing my standard of behavior without having good reason to think god exists, so if I have to change, then the way to do it would be for god to show me something. I don't want there to be a god, but if god showed himself I'd change
LanceDirk 2 years ago
Okay, LanceDirk, you're playing the denial game now. I just gave you examples and they are real. You don't know my memory problems, and you don't know my proficiency with Greek, I had to confess them to you. And then you treat my answers as if they were lies.
As for your being ready, you are very self-satisfied so you are not ready for a change. Only doubt makes for a readiness for change.
Again, this is true for all of us. I have my 'sticking points' with God, and so does everyone else.
brainouty 2 years ago
@brainouty I saw part of your conversation with another guy too, and that one seemed to end with you accusing him of lies too. Hmm
Since when has readiness for change been equivalent with desire to change? So wanting to know if god is real so I'll know if I should change isn't enough, I have to want to change anyway?
Lastly, not being able to remember what you had for breakfast isn't memory problems, it's normal, just as flashes of memory are normal too. No reason to say god's doing it.
LanceDirk 2 years ago
LanceDirk, there are a lot of liars on Youtube. But this time, YOU are the one accusing. I guess you don't read your own comments.
Again, you're here to bait, I realize that now. My bad for always being naive, expecting a real conversation. Bye.
brainouty 2 years ago
@brainouty Greek thing- If you could not have had any inkling that portion was backwards due to having no familiarity with Greek at all, then as I said, that would have been impressive. The way you described it that's not the case though.
You did not state anything to me that even resembles a memory problem. You said you confessed memory problems to me. I honestly don't see it.
I started this to see how flashes of memory = god, so maybe I'm the naive one for thinking you'd demonstrate that.
LanceDirk 2 years ago
Okay, LanceDirk, what part of 'Bye' did you not understand? I disclosed two CONFESSIONS to you. You spit on them. End of conversation.
You came here to bait. Fine. Comment all you like. I will not answer you again. BYE.
brainouty 2 years ago
No, you disclosed two confessions, I said they were not outside the realm of normal memory function, and you said nothing to challenge that or defend them. You said you were naive to expect a conversation. What should I have said to make this one, considering my HONEST reaction to your statements was what I described. Should I have said "wow, that is amazing!"?
I confessed to you I don't want there to be a god, but I want to know if there is one, but you acted like that was a lie too, so...
LanceDirk 2 years ago
@brainouty Lol is this how you react when people don't just accept your claims and the explanations you've come up with immediately? Throw a temper tantrum and accuse me of baiting and spitting on your confessions (not claims?)
I never challenged your claims about whether you actually thought of what you did and that you don't know much Greek. I just fail to see how that demonstrates god. If that's baiting or spitting on you, then I'd be curious how you'd do as a witness in court...
LanceDirk 2 years ago
thats a good point.
Sath770 2 years ago
Last I checked, this is the U.S., so I can reply to you all I want. It doesn't surprise me that you won't reply, because you can't refute facts. You say I lie, but you haven't demonstrated that. What I assert, I support with concrete examples, while you make bogus claims of congruity. Did you check the dictionary? Did you read John against the other gospels? Did you research pistis to see the debate: does it mean firmness, faith, belief, trust, assurance? There is no mention of content, PERIOD!
dnaversa 2 years ago
Btw, I'd like concrete proof to back your argument. Cite chapter/verse for each point made. You can't make the Bible say things that it doesn't. NONE of the Gospels agree 100%. Please research before making ignorant assertions. Some accounts were too docetic (like Peter's Gospel; ever read it?); others failed to mention a shred of evidence for the central claims of JC being The Son of Man. Wonder why? Ever read Judas's account? Why does Peter not mention EVER seeing JC again after his death?
dnaversa 2 years ago
BTW, what part about 'go lie elsewhere' and 'I'll not reply to you further' did you fail to read well? If you can't read my comments, you can't read Bible. And you certainly didn't read my other videos, which DO back up the claims made.
So I WILL NO LONGER REPLY TO YOU. There, the caps should be enough.
brainouty 2 years ago
New World Dictionary of the Amer. Lang. is the dictionary that defined faith as "unquestioning belief." As for the Gospels agreeing, none agrees on JC's resurrection from the tomb. Who was present? Who told who what? When? None of Paul's 4 accounts of meeting JC agree with each other; none of the Gospels corroborates his "blinding" story. None agree with John for exorcisms, J's baptism, duration of ministry, location of ministry, parents, or 1st appearance after death. Care to show me proof?
dnaversa 2 years ago
Or, ever wonder why all the Gospels can't agree on JC? Ever wonder about the dearth of evidence for him in the Bible? Is it because no one in history who lived in JC's time ever wrote anything down? Possibly. Or is it rather that the Gospels were plagiarized accounts, written decades after JC's "death" by people who spoke Greek (not Aramaic, like the illiterate apostles), who lived two countries away with ZERO chance of ever having seen him for themselves? NO WITNESSES necessitates your faith.
dnaversa 2 years ago
Lastly, arguments about an old book do nothing for its veracity. The Bible is a plagiarized book of fairy tales. Any scholar can tell you that. Have you not investigated for yourself? Arguing over its stories doesn't make any of them true. People argue over Harry Potter books. People argue over Wittgenstein's philosophy but that doesn't make it accurate. Let's begin with the secular history of Jesus. That will take about a nanosecond--no mention of him anywhere, eh? Wonder why?
dnaversa 2 years ago
"Faith" derives from Latin ("fides<fidere, to trust"). The notion of "pistis" is up for argument, or didn't you know that? Just as the Hebrew word for "virgin" (almah) really means "young maid." If you reviewed your Genesis more carefully, you'd find tens of errors in translation as well as tens of logical errors. I mean, it was copied from Egyptian and Babylonian myths idea for idea. Or didn't you know that? The Flood? Babylonian. Talking snake? That, too. Mary&Joseph who bore a son? Egyptian!
dnaversa 2 years ago
@Brainouty. Your lack of knowledge about reality is breathtaking. Faith is not an enabling condition for sending messages. Nor is it required to breathe. Infants don't need faith to breathe, and electronic messages are not relayed via faith, but rather light, electricity, etc. To boot, which definition for faith notes "CONTENT of a belief?" My Webster's defines it as "unquestioning belief; unquestioning belief in God, religion, etc.; anything believed." It's the "unquestioning" part that gets me
dnaversa 2 years ago
dnaversa, your ignorant comments prove you the ignorant one.

De4sher 2 years ago
De4sher, didn't you have to use faith, to type your comment? Didn't you BELIEVE that you could type it? Didn't you BELIEVE it would post? Didn't you BELIEVE that it ought to be posted? Didn't you BELIEVE that once posted, it would be seen?
See, you need belief to even breathe. THAT is what's called 'faith'. The word 'faith' means first that the content of something is trustworthy -- or at least you think it is, so you BELIEVE in it.
You need faith to even get up in the morning.
brainouty 2 years ago
Nope, i didn't.
How do you need faith?. Have you tested that?
