  • This is a great song! It popped into my head this morning! I work at a rehabilitation facility (how ironic!). A bit of advice to the makers....you got our attention...but lost us!

  • I love this song! My grandma sings a it with odd lyrics though 'how dry I am, how wet I'll be, if I don't find that bathroom key,' no drinking songs for us "kids".

  • Allan Sherman first performed this at Tanglewood on July 22, 1964. I've got the record sitting on my tabletop as I type this message!

Yes, I've saved it all these years because it's an excellent recording.

The lead song, covering an entire side of the LP, was titled "Peter and the Commissar".

  • What does a Breathalyzer test tell you?

It tells you exactly "how dry I am"! ;-)

  • Ha, wow. Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This is a classy performance. I approve.

  • For a very known popular Greek song based on "how dry I am" from back to the 30s, try to find the song Mpoufetzis" (or "Boufetzis") by Giorgos Mpatis (or Batis), a Rembetiko song. Find it in youtube with the greek name: "Μπουφετζης". I have it also live by Marika Ninou from 1955. Very popular in Greece!!!

  • Great performance of Allan Sherman's hilarious arrangement.

  • BEST SONG EVER!!!

    xD
