  • Ha ha! Funny as hell! Great job man!

  • LOL

  • So glad that we have freedom of speech. I proudly served so you could have that right to speek your mind.

  • I love the part where you went 7 mph! Where does the golf bag fit on that thing. well spent money my friend, well spent...

  • this thing is baad asss.. but its not to practical but now your the only person ive ever heard of that can claim to doing this... badd ass .now you gotta up it with somethin better.. good luck,,

  • thank you very much - love your taste

  • I'm sure the local country club absolutely LOVES the noise and the donuts on the greens.

    Caddyshack, anyone?

  • FAKE AND GAAAY

  • he backed the jet sound with a high pitch ring tone tht i got on my phone

  • haha awesome, how much does it cost to make one?

  • hydrostatic clutches are great for fixed RPM machines. CVT transmission?

  • @toejamish

It's an APU engine that does run at a constant speed only, thus the reason why I had to use a hydrostatic. Auxilary Power Unit normally drives a generator that must run at constant governed RPM (in this case 4,400 rpm output). It's either on or off, there is no throttle. Turbines (especially single spool) are not meant for variable rpm operation.

  • lol get wider wheels

  • now all you gotta do is put an after burner and mabe a body and wings

  • Ah, the wonders of Ebay...

  • APU from aircraft, isn't it? From a military fighter?

  • go play golf more fast XD !!!!!!

  • thats a waste, should of put a 1000cc motor on it, those dounts wore weak as hell

  • @jerad0683 how bout you make a jet powered golf cart then faggot

  • beastly

  • Yea but does your golfcart have a jet motor on it???

  • cant it go faster my golf cart can go faster than that

  • thats bad ass

  • REDKNEX

  • how's the transmission holding up to the heat? brilliant method of getting the power to the ground by the way.

  • The transmission has lasted 2 years with constant abuse. The truth is that it probably gets more of a workout in the industrial mower it was designed for. Those are usually a lot heavier than a typical golf cart, with lots of starts and stops, grass and sand contamination. The passive trans cooler works very well, without a fan and the oil tank never gets too hot to touch.

  • well hell, I'm inspired now

  • lololol... if i was golfing i'd be pissed if someone was riding in that.. i want it :P

  • that thing hauls so much ass love that spinning out, I bet this thing is so powerful it will do that on pavement, how long does the jet engine run b4 its time to refuel?

  • The engine can run for about 45 minutes to one hour on the ten gallon tank.

  • holy shit how much that cost

  • The Turbine engine was $500 from Ebay, the transmission was another $100 and the cart frame was another $100. Probably another $300 in parts, plus the starter engine. That's $1k for a golf cart. You'd be lucky to find a running golf cart (electric or gas) for $1k. And as the the why, I had a got lucky enough to by a turbine engine for $500, why not put it on a golf cart? It's to big for a go cart, and this cart cost me $100.

  • wakaka so funny taht he think

  • oh god... why

  • very unexpensive golf machine :)

  • Now that wouldn't be a distraction to golfers in the least!

  • all that work for a meezly 50hp

  • but im sure you can say you have a jet powered golf cart though..

    this guy can.

  • @dan198787 wheres your jet powered golf cart?-right

  • with 5 hp

  • you cant spin the wheels like that

  • yes you can spin the wheels with a jet turbine

  • HEh Where the heck are you going to put your clubs?!!?!?

  • From Clark Griswald in Christmas vacation, "Bend over and I'll show you". Seriously you have a valid point that in order to play golf we need a bag holder. The issue is the heat, and where to put it? We are open to ideas. Again, this was a driveline test and the cart is still a work in progess.

  • You could try making a rack for the front, it might even balance it a bit more.

  • You don't need the turbine, the 5hp could do that too.

  • I maxed the throttle adjustment on my '94 Club Car at work and I was passing cars on the road beside the course (about 55km/h). It was fun, but my knickers had to be tossed.

  • I introduce on printer to you guys,it can print any designs on golf balls! 3w qdunique com, you can check it !!!

  • kinda gay

  • dude

I hope you know that they make golf carts (gas and electric) that go faster than that goes. You should go get one of those and put your turbine system on it. make it so that it has better air suction too. I think your system looses power due to restricted air flow.

  • Which part of test drive is unclear? We didn't try for top speed. It was to see how the drivetrain held up to torque and acceleration. The next question is how do those carts doing 50 plus stop? Most golf carts only have brakes on the back wheels, so they will not stop quickly at all. My latest video does show top speed after we put front disk brakes so that we might be able to stop. There is no restricted airflow, the engine runs wide open!

  • you need a drive train for a jet engine? since when the force pushes you.

  • yes. you loose a lot of power seeing as that your turbine engine is not set in a position where air flows into it naturally (rather than it being sucked in like it is)

you have a LOT to learn about jet propulsion.

and yes it would require a drivetrain. The engine is not actually pushing that car, it is just generating energy, like any regular engine would. (which really defeats the whole concept seeing as that a turbine is a propulsion system.)

  • that was a stupid demonstration.

  • He used the Annoying Ringtone to make that sound..you suck dude.. I have that high pitched noise on my phone!!!!!!!

  • did you know that old people cant hear such high pitched noises

  • dont roll it u fuck wit

  • HAHAHA turbine powered XD

1 small detail: turbines dont have a reverse =D.

it is called a "turbo", numbnuts =D

  • You missed the detail, turboshaft engines drive a transmission which does allow reverse. Go back to school before you hurt yourself.

  • Well, that indeed makes a lot more sense. Sorry, didn't read the video description.

  • oh fur real

  • I want one! Have you taken it golfing? Can you do 18 on one tank? I think a pair of knobs in the rear and front ribs would do wonders for traction...

    Mascobe

  • Why are people so damn stupid? Seriously, do some damn homework, and know what you're talking about before you open your mouth. By the way, for those of you calling it slow, WHO THE FUCK CARES! It's jet powered, how cool is that?

  • ummm seriouslly man build a small jet.Don waste it on lawnmowers and shit!

  • Yes, im sure youll get FAA approval :]

  • dude safty firt you should where a helmet lol

  • drive a line buddy not on dirt i bet u cant or can u?

  • Sweet! A annoying thing that gose in circles. yay!

  • cool im tryin to build my first jet turbine only im havin trouble finding metal tubing for the compustion chamber

  • wow fag, you could have saved yourself the trouble and put a 15hp engine on there and got the same results, without all that noise.

    invent something worth a shit

  • Great, another intelligent comment. Shouldn't you be working on your truck? And what's with the "sliding warthog"? Glad you could post a crappy screen capture for our entertainment. Talk smack, but I can make the paint melt off your truck in less than 30 sec.

  • The new Tim Allen.

  • i was thinking the same thing

  • hehe!

  • thats the craziest thing ive ever seen

  • lol

  • just does donughts?

  • So how does it go backwards? Is that jet turbine geared to the wheels or is it just using the jet air thrust for forwards and the stock motor for reverse?

  • well, the wheels we're spinning on the ground b4 it even moved at some points, so I'd have to say it was hooked up 2 the wheels, not air powered

  • This is your brain on drugs

  • this is you taking slogans from tony hawks project 8

  • Some people are so ignorant about the physical world around them, it amazes me!

  • You should put that in an old car & hook it up to a standard tranny, I bet you would get great gas mileage.

  • If by great you mean horrible.

  • So you used a lawn mower Hydrostatic gear Box? I wouldnt think it would hold up to that kind of power? Does the Jet turn a tranny that is linked to the gear box or is the Jet shaft hooked directley to the hydro unit?

  • The turbine engine has an output shaft that spins at 4,400rpm. I am using a belt drive from that directly to the Eaton model 11 Hydrostatic transmission. The Eaton is rated at 3600rpm input and will tranmit 20+HP through it. What that means is that since the engine is governed just like a lawn mower engine to a set RPM, the load or torque determine how much HP is made. The transmission only loads 20 hp worth of torque to the engine, and the governer only adds enough fuel to maintain the set RPM.

  • fucking crazy amerikanes :D

  • retard learn to spell. dumb foreigner.

  • Arr my Fucking ears

  • hahahahahahahaha loser haaaaahahahahahahahaha

  • umm if it is jet powered how come u reversed it?

  • It is a turboshaft and spins the transmission from a large lawn tractor. It can go just as fast in reverse as it can forward, and with the hydraulic transmission, can shift forward to reverse instantly with no grinding since there are no gears.

  • ahh i see^^

  • O_O

    HA ahahahaha

    Sweet...

    love it...

  • Woah, that is awesome!!!! Great vid man.

  • I can't believe how uninformed some of these comments are...

Good job, I think you need to get some ATV tires and one of those little umbrella canopy things, maybe you can hide the engine in some fiberglass made to look like a cooler and some golf bags :)

  • So thats how u play golf....

  • how come its so fuckin slow

  • Can it do VTOL too?

  • thats bull shit it's just background noise put in. that is being propelled by a normal engine. the wheels spin when they wouldn't if it was being driven by a jet.

  • Did you watch the same video as the rest of us??? Oh that's right, you have a degree in engineering, and 3 jet engines in your garage. Post your video response of something you custom built. Oh , that's right you just talk about what other people did.

  • new hobby needed

  • if you can't tell it appears to have a belt/ chain or somthing from the turbine to a drive shaft.. fucking retard..

  • suck my nob u dirty shit cunt, i was asking a simple question sorry im not a fucking scientist. suck your mothers cunt.

  • why do the wheels spin when the turbine is creating the propulsion? mmmmmmmmm......

  • MMMMMMMMMMM How do turbine powered helicopters spin the rotors and fly?????? It's called a turboshaft engine because it makes shaft horsepower just like a gasoline piston engine, except way more power and less weight and moving parts.

  • for a turbine, that goes like 4 mph

  • DUDE, its burning out the whole time, its so powerful it can't get traction!!! !!!

  • Nice piece of enginering!! What kind of numbers do you estimate it puts to the ground?

  • thats messt up maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

  • mannnn too loud to be enjoyable. Prolly scared off all the wildlife for 10 miles in ever direction.

  • Thats the idea...

  • Cool! Can you have it do a straight-away run down an airstrip while radar clocking the m.p.h.?

  • Nice property

  • I think its a fake. I mean I could be wrong b/c I don't know how the system works but the sound of the supposed turbine doesn't change pitch at all when he accelerated or decelerated. The sound didn't even get quieter or louder when he was far and near the camera.

  • Ok so your like #500 on the list that said fake. Not that I did a close up uf the driveline, nor have I posted a couple of explanations, like APU engines run at constant speed, so it doesn't change pitch. and since it's so loud, it pretty much overloads the camera's microphone. Also don't look at the other video showing the wheels spinning when we have it up on the jack for starting, cause that's fake too. While your at it the turbine minivan is a fake too.

  • holy shit nice one man!

  • nice cart man but to bad we didnt get to see the speed of it.

  • hu hu hu hu cool hu hu hu hu cool!

  • Wtf is that id rather have a turbod lawnmower

  • hehe cool :P

  • do you like men??

  • wtf? r u gey?

  • UNLEASH IT!

  • can it fly

  • That looks so slow, and stupid.

  • so do you.

  • OWW my ears hurt....

    too high pitched...

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet project

  • are you people stuped the turbine is 4 looks

  • No dude, I make a pretty good slow walk around shot where you can see the belt drive from the turboshaft engine to the jackshaft, and below that you can see the chain drive to the live rear axle. During the video, you can also here the turbine slow down just slightly known as governer droop when the hydraulic transmission is providing full torque to the axle.

  • you must be a stupid blind person, you have not watched the video carefully and see how it works

  • shut the fuk up fuktard

  • BANGINMAZ (What a lame name) Your're a wannabe engineer. Not cuttin' it, Missy.

  • obviously, thats wut u cant do-look...cut some circles from bottles' asses and wear em as glasses...maybe itll do a change.

  • this thing is crazy I drove the owners snowmobile powered golfcart and that was nutts so this thing must b 20 times the fun

  • thats innovtave and an awesome engineering project. To all those who call gay... you are losers who are clearly no where clever enough to design or appreciate anything outstanding. What has straight line speed got to do with anything?

  • have you ever gone fast in a straight line?

  • is that a turbine or a turbo prop engine converted?

  • he is using the small engine to initially spool up the gas turbine. once the gas engine starts running on its own, he takes the small out. This is the only way to start a gas turbine. it can't start on its own. You have to give an initial spin to the rotor.

  • That's really good project vehicle. These people have no idea about what you put together there. it has a turboshaft engine that outputs torque (not thrust) and it has a transmission that he can shift forward backward. I can see it really has a lot of torque and power. He would have really needed a big piston engine to be able to fake that. Congratulations. good job.

  • Guys, do a little reading about what is mentioned in the description, and LEARN something. Its a turbo-shaft engine, meaning its power is extracted through a drive shaft... it provides negligible reaction thrust. It has a hydrostatic trans, meaning it uses a hydraulic motor... forward and reverse is achieved by simply opening and closing valves.

  • Your a grass cutting 10 fingered faggot!

  • No you are dumbass! stop posting gay comments! He did a good job on building this. Your probably to stupid to even drive it dumbass!!!

  • that looked a little fake cause u didnt go very fast

  • im with stinkbomb. a freakin jet engine and thats all u can do> and how does the thing go backwards if the jet engine is aiming forwards? and whats that little motor on the side i think the thing on the back is just for show and makes alot of noise while its actually run by a little gas engine.

  • You can see and hear when he cuts the small engine off. See my comment above.

  • great job! fuck these bitches that complained, let's see them do better! how long you think that tranny'll hold up? ;)

  • Excellent project, insane torque :-) Maybe you need better wheels to be able to use it.

  • I bet that whistling sound is driving every dog within a 10 mile radius crazy.

  • how can you go backwards?

  • hydrostatic transmission

  • damn i thought yould do more than donuts you loser. you have access to a jet engine if you didnt notice. dont do donuts. drive the thing 100 mph. that would be a good vid.

  • dude open stretch of grass turbine jet engine camera and u didnt give'r all out man wtf i was waiting for it to open up too u wasted youtube space

  • was waiting to see it open up.

  • Excellent project

  • speed! i want speed babe, where's the speed? you have a hell of an engine and you don't speed your cart on the highway?

  • Looks like the same APU as is in a Chinook and EH-101 ?

  • why grass? go to the road and do 200mph than take a video of it...

  • Great, now my dog's are howling and it's 3AM.

  • definately need to find something better to do with your time.

  • stupid!

  • tht was so gay i think my cock would even fit into the hole of the engine....

  • and i think my cock would fit into the hole of your ass!

  • THats shite heh! THought you were going to get blown off the top or something wit all the G's.!!

  • very very gay

  • gay

  • i agree thats pretty gay......looks more like a waste of time and money

  • instead of going around in circles why dont u actually take off so we can see how fast this thing can go

  • Yeah just a tad dangerous but lets see johhny do better shall we

  • POST A WARNING NOW!!! VERY DANGEROUS! Let Johnny show you how it's done...

  • wow it sucks balls.

  • Who has the money to do this?

  • i was waiting for it to blow up XD

  • great idea.......rename the vid though lol it aint a golf cart no more...its a plane or sumthin

  • my head herts now from that wineing nose

  • I thought it atleast haul ass. gay
