I used to use Tilda... it's basically the same thing... Reinstalled once and never used it again... Thanks for reminding me of the convenience... I think for the KDE folks the equivalent is yakuake or something like that.
You should check out Yakuake. It's infinitely better than Guake, and I would say it doesn't have a real competitor out there. It's so much more configurable. I didn't even care that I had to have all the KDE libs installed with it because it's just that good.
