@squirrel162: Hmm, I don't have any 4 or 5 string sweeps on my channel, but I do have a few six string ones, and a two string one that's really great practice for getting the sweeping motion down. Search for "Ron Thal's Sweep Picking Lesson (demonstrated by Gianmarc)" on Youtube, that's probably the best sweeping practice you can get!
@richardrdenisii: It's a common beginner mistake to think that you should use your pinky everytime you need to play a note that's three frets up from the previous note, but with experience you'll find that sometimes it makes more sense to make the stretch with your ring finger. Watch great players like Yngwie and Guthrie Govan and you'll see that they'll often opt for the stretch with the ring finger over using the pinky. All that matters is that the notes are getting fretted cleanly.
dang this only took like 30 min to get fast and im not even good at sweeping its a fun easy arpeggio

@squirrel162: Awesome, glad you were able to pick it up so quickly! It is a great lick to practice if you're relatively new to sweep picking.

@GJaunz It's a common beginner mistake to not use your pinky. yngwie uses his pinky every time for 3 string dim arpegios

Thanks a lot! Yeah, the diminshed ones are good sweep picking practice. I think it's because they're so fun to play.

Nice video. Diminished sweep patterns are what I used to advance my sweep picking skills when I was first starting.
