  • that graph with the CO2 and the temperature is shit scary

  • I recommend Cool It, to everybody that liked this movie. Both of them are great enviromment movies. Donwload Cool It by torrent.

  • and so water world begins!

  • People, really think about the data here. Actually look up the surveys, etc. Make judgments, he his only showing you one story, and there are a billion. Even his little BUY ETHANOL thing at the end is a great example.

  • This movie made me cry =( I love nature so much and it is dying...

  • why are people so pissed about that film?

  • @Mendelevium146 Cause it is based on false facts and full of lies to fearmonger the money out of peoples pockets!

  • @07Marius06 false facts? oh you're a global warming denial?

  • @Mendelevium146 watch?v=HU6MIeqva5c&feature=related

  • @Mendelevium146

Its not whether global warming is real, I think thats relatively obvious but the questions that need to be asked are:

Are we actually causing it (yes I have seen the film, but I also researched all of the data he uses, a lot of it is bunk)

and Can we actually do anything about it? Bjorn Lambourg argues that if we spent (I dont remember the exact number) something like A billion dollars a day, we would only delay the affects of global warming by a week after a century.

  • he's point is :

    we'r all gonna die :D

  • 0.27 No SEATBELT! Why can't he get Tboned. He's a retard.

  • We are watching this at school

  • How about the destruction caused by invasive species brought to the United States in the shipping containers from Chinese junk such as the Emerald Ash Borer which has destroyed over 50 million trees in the Midwest & Canada. Ahh one of the fruits of the WTO courtesy of big campaign contributions to Gore during the 92/96 period.

Many invasive species that are wrecking havoc in the US were brought in courtesy of Gore & WTO

    ChinaGate

  • i should have known....

Al Gore is, after all, a politician.

    And All Politicians LIE.

    Nixon --> Watergate

    Reagan --> Iran Contra

    Clinton --> Lewinsky-Whitewater

    Bush --> WMD-Iraq-Afghanistan

    Damn politicians.

  • @wutangwutang101

so are you saying that al gore is a lier?

  • inform yourself, so you wouldnt claim such a dilettante nonsense. well your first sentence pretty much explains what kind of person you yourself are intellectually :)

  • This movie is not about the truth, its about a huge lie, and nothing more.

  • you're an idiot. how could you think global warming isn't real. there is not one scientist that claims it is not real. the whole scientific community believes in it

  • @Nuklearnulf

so are you saying that al gore and global warming is a lie?

  • It has been proven...

I'll say it is the most appreciated documentary ever. In Earth Science class, we were asked to write an essay and I wote a 4-page essay describing global warming and the only basis is this documentary, and for that stupid fight, this IS a documentary with the USE of a powerpoint presentation. If it was a ppt and not a documentary, it should've been in *.ppt rather in those movie files such as *.flv and *.wmv, oh come on, its first grade!!!

  • First this movie is not a documentary it's a power-point presentation. A documentary is suppose to be about a human interest story not a collection of stuff you believe. it's just like "Loose Change" nothing more then an hour and a half power-point ad that is absolute bullshit it won two Oscars. It's not just the bias talk because, I'll watch a Michael Moore documentary.

    Bowling for Columbine and Sicko

A Melissa Etheridge song is a power-point presentation seriously What the Fuck?

  • Global Warming is a human interest story.

    It has to be...

The most important thing in life is of course the Earth. With the Earth spewing out very hot air and people start dying, where would you live? I mean, if you don't think the whole fact about global warming is not interesting, then you have neither interest in the movie nor care for your life, and the Earth. Not caring about global warming just means you don't care for the Earth. (no offense, just telling you...)

  • It's pretty obvious anyone disagreeing with this guy have parents in oil industry, don't read worth shit, AND are brainwashed clueless idiots whose children will be born with chips implanted in them.

  • if you think al gore's properganda based film is proof of anything you are dead wrong.

Al Gore does not represent all of the science but picks bits that suit him.

Where does he mention the diminishing return of C02?

  • This movie wants to make get up and cheer, cry, and do something. I wish he was president. Seeing this makes me want to jump up and do something! I'll pummel anyone who believes differently. Well actually no, but I'll argue a lot. How can you look at this, and pull a George Bush: "It's all Al Gore's fault!" or "Global Warming is a fraud." Actually a recent study that has been hidden from view until now, because of Geroge Bush, is finally out in public, and it proves it's real.

  • It hasn't been proven. It still utilizes the precautionary theory.

  • It HAS been proven, arse.

    HAVE YOU SEEN IT?

I've seen 30 mins so far in science class. About 30. And that stuff gets to me. I feel for it.

  • Wow I 've never heard anyone react the same way I did to this...I thought the film was incredible, as is Al Gore, I think more people need to wake up and pay attention to this, if they won't do anything than they can at least listen. I felt almost compelled to do something to help, right after I watched it I made a list of things that I could do and then joined some global warming awareness groups lol. I'm glad we're not alone in this :)

  • @thisissme

Proves whats real? Are you kidding? You need to be waaaaay more critical of that. How can you simply say one study is right and disregard another study that says the opposite thing? One story is not "the truth."

  • The point here is not El Gore.

Look around yourself, we have made everything filthy. The air is not clean, food is not natural and more n more species are getting extinct.

We are like a virus, consuming this planet as we speak. Within a century the population of earth has more than doubled, the cities are getting bigger and how long do you think the humans will survive with limited resources?

  • @initin I agree with you, initin. I think the same way you think, people just don't think about the future and they don't care about our planet. A few people in the world care for Mother Earth, people should donate money to help naturalists and we should be aware because we are polluting our planet. The human race is making a grave mistake by burning fossil fuels rapidly. If we destroy Mother Earth then where are we going to go?

  • @Omeed911

I don't think we are capable enough of destroying mother earth. Earth has been here since billions of years, it can recover from the mayhem we have created and will still be here when we no longer exist. Its 'US', the human species which is now endangered. I laugh every time they say 'Save Earth' because its essentially 'US' that we are trying to save!

  • But your forgettin one small thing, 7 billion people dont live on Mars or Pluto

  • so then that proves that global warming is natural. explain to me then the medieval warm period where al gore did not go into great detail. he did not even mention the little ice age. what everyone is forgetting is that al gore is a politician not a scientist dont take in everything u hear

  • That's so smart: just attacking what others say without showing how are they wrong. "i assure u its not us causing it and its not CO2" - well. You fail to provide us with any proof for this, and anyway that's not Mr. Gore's claim in his movie. You come out just stupid and obviously you're so biased you didn't even bother to listen to his arguments.

  • I have listened to his arguments and believe me i was just like all the other people convinced by this propaganda. you must think your pretty smart postin this comment nice and neatly. you talk about listening to this comment well smart ass y dont u typen global warming lies pt.1 and listen to that argument unless your so biased your brain and mind r fucking clouded

  • Would be way easyer to understand if that crap music wasnt playing

  • im scared

  • We got to do something...

it's not about just seeing this video and say: "yeaa that's it, he's right"

we need to REALLY do something

  • WHat's the soundtrack of the video?

  • The hardest thing any man will ever do is accept blame and face the consequences. they will hide behind "sunspots" and "supernova rays." I feel sorry for everyone who is accustomed to having their head in the sand who has seen this video. As they say "Ignorance is Bliss"

  • You came from privilege and you will remain in privilege, if global warming does start making sea levels rise as you claim, I'm absolutely sure that you and Tipper would be safe and secure on the privileged "high ground" first before the rest of us schmucks... just another inconvenient truth mr. gore.

  • Oh Please, it isn't about that, gosh, that's why we are all screwed up, people only thing about stuff, money, please just stop it! think about the reason behind this video, there's a serious issue that affects all of us

  • I understand what you're saying, but Al Gore is (1)a media whore, (2)a person of privilege, (3)a politician, (4?)an activist and environmentalist. There's something that rubs me the wrong way about his notoriety that others who have championed this cause for far longer with much greater sacrifice to their lives. They aren't "handed" a Nobel Prize, they don't live in opulence, they have given far more than Al Gore ever will. Remember Ed Abbey? "Better a cruel truth than a comfortable delusion."

  • So who do you prefer somebody that u will not recognize that then say who the hell is this guy and he is crazy??

Look he was given a message that people still today don't believe still think is a scheme .

  • Its all about product endorsement, isn't it?? If it weren't for the box of cereal showing me that Barry Bonds puts milk on his cereal and I'm supposed to put milk on mine, I don't think that I would know what to do.

Al Gore lives in a 10,000 sq.ft. home, if he is going to champion global warming don't you think that a more "modest" dwelling would be appropriate?

Oh, but I forgot, Americans only see what they want to see. No use delving into the details... spoon feed em' their truth!! Yummy.

  • I just had to be the one to say this.

Talk about being spoon fed truth! Jesus, you're the one saying that you wouldn't put milk on your cereal, except that you are told to. Have a mind of your own, for God's sake! And no "products" are being endorsed with global warming, the fact that the sun is slowly melting the ice caps and the atmosphere is trapping heat is being endorsed.

And the square footage of anyones house has nothing to do with global warming.

  • Jacobwsl, you are wrong on every level:

First, everyone has to learn to put milk on their cereal from someone else. You aren't born with that knowledge.

Secondly, many products are being endorsed by global warming: so called 'eco-friendly' companies, ethanol producers, and carbon-credit traders stand to make trillions of dollars through the scare of global warming. Al Gore himself owns a carbon-credit company!

And by Al Gore's own admission, your house size increases global warming.

  • someguy, you are the one who is wrong, but I do value your thoughts. Of course knowledge is inherited, but it is also discovered. If Barry Bonds didnt put milk in his cereal, that wouldnt mean that I would stop; that's what I mean by "having a mind of your own". "So called" ecofriendly companies ARE ecological, and dont MAKE TRILLIONS> THOSE ARE GAS COMPANIES. Carbon-credit plans promote eco-friendly thought. Al Gore states overuse of fossil fuel and electricity cause glob.warm, not your house.

  • Jacob, I won't deny that oil companies make billions, even trillions added together. What's wrong with that? They don't set the price of oil, the market (which is largely overseas) sets the price. They are out for profit, just like eco-companies are. And a larger house equals greater fuel and electricity costs to power, cool, or heat it.

As to cereal, Tensh. was obviously being figurative and rhetorical. You had no reason to insult his intelligence like that. That's cheap.

  • someguy, it has been proven in recent circumstances that US oil prices have been disproportional to the market barrel price. Eco-companies are "subsistence", in other words they invest their profits in themselves. A larger house (like Gore's) can be eco-friendly, with comp. fluorescent lights etc... but youre right, it does usually take overall more energy.

As to Tensh, I was also being figurative, simply extending his metaphor to make a rebuttal. I'm sorry if I offended his intelligence.

  • It would take more than you not getting the point to insult my intelligence.

Al Gore owns stock in oil companies, his avg. electric bill is $1400/month, avg. gas bill is $1100/month for one home, along with you & all the other hangers on that insist that the Great Nobel Laureate Al Gore be your champion in the War on Global Warming I have a few words to say about that:

John Muir, James Lovelock, Rachel Carson, H.D. Thoreau, Edward Abbey, Aldo Leopold, Ben Franklin, et. al., ever heard of them?

  • Saying that a big house is just as eco-friendly as a normal sized one is like saying an enlarge prostate is just as safe as a normal one. Like Tensh. said, Al Gore's costs of powering it is higher than some people's income! Not to mention the way he zips around in a private jet.

One of two things: Al Gore either believes in G.W., but doesn't give a rat's a.. about his own impact; or he doesn't and is in it for money and fame. Either one sounds like something he'd do.

  • Al Gore lives in a 10,000 square foot home (930 square meters) - I think that he and Tipper should send the money they spend on heating and cooling that monstrosity to the people they try to fool with their nonsense. They pretend that they are just like the rest of us. Oh, I forgot, your daddy was a Senator, you had the want of nothing growing up, practice what you preach - feeling guilty Mr. Gore?

  • we must listen.! We have no where eles to go! If the Earth dies, its not like we can go to Mars, such planets as venus are great examples of what too much greenhouse can do. Thers nowhere eles in the solar system to go.!

  • for All of you that say THIS WON'T HAPPEN!

    THINK AGAIN!

    Look at these people dieing

    The world

    -sigh-

    Some people don't understand

  • HE WOULD NOT.Stop bashing Al Gore. He would make a GREAT president for the United States. You guys are VERY EXTREMLY lucky to have Al Gore trying for president. When i move to America when i'm older (Now im in England) and i'm old enough to vote, He gets my vote.

If you watched this movie, You would understand. But you don't . xx This is a great Non-fiction movie and it makes you think twice. xx

  • In all honesty, I don't think Gore would mind Florida getting flooded

  • erm, do you have one without the music? i really want to know what that guy is talking about...

  • @tianhua1993

just watch an inconvenient truth by al gore thanks to the internet community: adf (dot) ly/ 1NxC7 just take out all the spaces, its on google video sorry about the subtitles ...

  • CRAP??!! YOU ARE STUPID!!!

  • what a load of crap!

  • Greenhouse Gas, Methane is 23 times as potent as CO2, Nitrous Oxide is hundreds of times as potent. We produce greater quantities of both trying to make Ethanol. A Nobel Chemist recently discovered that the production of NO is far higher than previous estimates. 'URL' interglacial.wordpress

  • well.... teen in school who doubt global warming it is call IMATURE. they don't see things yet... until it happening infront of their eyes.and yes for me it really annoying seeing people who do Not Understand a thing about global warming.....

  • Yeah I understand what you mean. But no matter how hard you try. Stupid teens have glued their eyes to MTV and such brainwashing shows.

So, explaining to a large crowd of kids who are immature is like trying to train dogs how to sit. It takes time.

I've lived on this earth long enough to see how this earth has changed significantly so I believe that WE, this generation that wants to prevent global warming should do something about it.

  • pah, MTV, Im 14 and i have never laid eyes on that rubish

  • haha good for you, I don't watch TV at all nowadays. Just read some books and browse the internet. :)

  • you wold be very suprised. i have found that often teens are more MATURE than adults, just not as old

  • people don't have to understand a thing to affect climate change. anyone can switch of a light as they leave a room or turn of the telly when no-one is watching it. It doesn't take the almighty santaku to change the world

  • my brother just told me that the song is called moonlight sannata & it's by behtoven

  • huh, sonnata

  • what is the name to the music by piano?

  • Though I must say, the science behind THIS documentary is appalling.

The last 10 years are the warmest on record - So, we are coming out of a cold period, 1000 years ago we grew oranges in the UK!

  • Lets leave the scientists to do the arguing, there are plenty of people exploring this, idiotic fanboy people here aren't going to make a jot of difference no matter what you think.

You all just regurgitate 'facts' that you've heard, without knowing what the bloody hell you are talking about.

The scientists do the arguing, if its too late by the time they've worked out whats happening, then so be it.

  • here, here! 3 chers for tiedlaces

  • we actually have 10 years

    go to flickoff dot org

  • I deffinatly thing this is happening. If we dont do anything its going to get even worse.scientis say we have 30 years befor its unchangeable. Why not try to make it better for us and our children and our childrens children ?

  • I said *countries ...

  • why some contries are so stupid?? WHY they don't agree with Kyoto?? we''ll die people!!

  • well... if you dont see dead, you can't feel it

people don't see dead, so they ignore the fact

    just that simple

  • more and more scientists are refuting the al gore theory of global warming. Piece by piece the global warming scam is being dismantled.

  • You are a little fuck!!! maybe you are a owner or worker from a fuckin' pollutant industry!!! We... All of us will die together, if we don't do anything. If you have your proves, why don't you drop here some link, that way we can see what are you talking about...

  • it is too bad that you are a tool of the machine pal

  • how can people not believe global warming is occuring? i don't understand.

  • the lil piano sound thing mades its hard to hear wat he is saying...

  • Although this is a pessimistic way of thinking about things, at least when the ice melt and greenland melts, Europe will freeze over and act as a new giant mirror, thus cooling Earth and saving everyone else...We coundn't have done it with our you Europe!

  • Anyone who says that the oil companies are on our side...and that these scienist have an agenda...cannot think for themselves

  • I use to be a skeptic. But, I have friends I went to college with in the 90's who are now scientists & they believe it. I watched Gore's movie over the weekend & if he wants to be taken seriously, he should take the politics out of it. Not to mention sell his holdings in Occidental Oil.

  • you cant just say the world goes through cycles- it does- cycles not caused by man. You cant sit there and say we dont have an affect on the Earth's climate. Earth has never had cars, or man made pollution until just 100 years ago. It's not made for it- that simple.

  • You can't say we have no impact, but you can't be sure to say we don't have a significant one. There was a time were the straight from asia to north america was a bridge of ice. It changed by reasons not from man.

  • it called bering way....the native americans came from asia...anyway.. usa is one of the most baddest nation (about the clima) cause they spit to the kyoto protocol

  • no its called the bering strait

  • I see... You don't have seen the DVD!!! for that reason you don't know what are you talking about!!! it's that simple

  • I used to hear people trash talk Al Gore, but if you ask me he's doing what more people need to be doing.

  • Ok I Dont Get This Everywhere He Goes Leading Scientists Want TO Interveiw Him But He Declines Every Time Doesnt That Make You Think How Factual His Movie Is

  • Can you give me some links here to prove your words, because I think that you don't know what are you talking about

  • Scientist have stated that Mars is warming also. Is that also caused by increaed CO2 levels from human? Couldnt the warming be caused by the SUN? Or maybe our CO2 levels are so bad that we are effecting Mars. Do a search on Mars warming and you will see. Or maybe you wont see because you dont want to see.

  • I can't believe on your words... please, give me some links to prove that!!!

  • Since I cant post urls. Why don't YOU goto google... type "Mars warming" ... click "Search" .. there are plenty of articles. Like I mentioned before. If YOU don't do it, then it is because YOU don't want to know the truth.

National Geographic has an article and so does Space<dot>com

  • You have proved your theory, but if you saw this movie, you know that I have proved mine... So, maybe the climate changes are produced by both theories, think about that!!! Sorry for my bad english, that's because I'm Spanish and I have never lived on a English speakers country!!!

  • Face.

  • co2 levels are being affected by humans. doesnt matter how its happening on mars. we release it into the atmosphere. end of story.

  • It DOES matter what is happening on Mars. You think the increase of C02 is causing Glaciers to melt. So the debate is whether this is true or not. So scientists are looking at Mars to see why its glaciers are melting. Common factor is not humans, it's the SUN. So NOT END OF STORY! It's the beginning of REAL DEBATE not mindless hysteria.

  • @TheSmokingNug A correlation doesn't carry the burden of proof. Regardless if we are releasing carbon in the atmosphere man can do nothing to interfere with the earth's cyclical relationship with the primary cause of the earth's increased temperatures -- the sun.

  • @TheSmokingNug A correlation doesn't carry the burden of proof. Regardless if we are releasing carbon in the atmosphere man can do nothing to interfere with the earth's cyclical relationship with the primary cause of the earth's increased temperatures -- the sun.

  • @bryant528 The martian atmosphere is full of CO2.

The volcanic activity there has more CO and CO2 output due to the chemical composition.

The co2 levels are increasing constantly on mars.. and the temperature on mars is increasing too. do i see a correlation? yes.

  • @binoyrakesh

Okay so the temp is rising...is it natural? Apparently it can be, you just proved yourself wrong.

Anyhow, a better question is what can we do (if anything) about it?

  • Ok, maybe I'm just stupid, but what did he mean when explaining the last ice age? 1. The fresher and lighter water stopped sinking? What does that mean? 2. Why did the heat transfer stop? 3. Why did Europe have an ice age and then what brought Europe out of that ice age after a short 900 to 1000 years? 4. An increase of one degree at the equator makes an increase of twelve degrees at the poles? How so? Someone explain to me because I can't just believe something if I don't understand it!

  • the movie explains it...this is just a trailer.

  • Its funny, when I was in grade school in the 70s everyone was on and on about the next ice age. All of sudden it is global warming. The reality is that the world goes through these changes every couple thousand years and we are in one of those periods right now.

  • if youd listened to the part when hes talking about co2 never having gone about 300 parts per million then shows the current levels and where its going its obvious. they can verify this by checking the yearly ice melt in antartica(similar to rings on a tree). they can go back 100,000 years and know the temp. the fact is that its the highest co2 in 100,000 years and is going to sky rocket means that we'll be looking at 120 degree(F) averages by 2050.

  • Did I ask anything about CO2 levels? If you can't answer me quit trying to sound smart because you don't. Al Gore can predict the CO2 levels for 2057? I haven't watched his movie yet, I'm just being a critic. But I'm sure you aren't a scholar or anything either judging by your typing abilities. By the way, what he said about Co2 levels is an estimate, not a fact!

  • the estimate he made for 50 years in the future is an estimate. current co2 levels and levels for the past 2000 years are also accurate. they can tell the exact co2 concentration by drilling the ice in antarctica...every year the melt creates rings in the ice like the rings of a tree... so stfu.

  • I live in canada and we JUST started real winter about 2 weeks ago >.<

    kyle

  • mann i wish it was the 90s cuz it was perfect then and nobody had to care bout global warming as much..

  • What kind of co2 concentrations did Jesus record?

  • This shit is scary

  • When I first came to Alaska in 1965 Portage Glacier was a huge ice wall with a small lake in front of it. Today there is a huge lake and you have to drive another 10 miles to find the small face of the rapidly retreating glacier. We are having warmer winters here than many "lower 48" States and many plants and animals are going through changes, we are on the list for feeling the effects, give give it time.

  • There's alot of people who doesn't care about global warming, especially teens in my school. There's so much damage done to the earth these days. My sister, who lives in NYC, was complaining that there ain't any snow there now. sad, how global warming changes all the weather patterns.

  • Yeah, all the people who doubt it really annoy me. We've done more damage to the earth in the last 50 years thatn we'l ever be able to imagine.

  • hey this shit is true. i went to the andes in peru and my friend and i had to walked for about 5km to get to the snow. My uncle who lives near the mountains told me that there used to be snow from where i started walking...that's 5 km!!! all the snow is gone!!!! :O
