@morganman102 how exactly? my brother has beaten preludes with his gsr, and someone i know that owns a sentra ser and 200sx ser beats gsrs all the time, and they're almost stock, gsr had dc headers, straight pipe or unbolted, not sure, with aftermarket clutch and intake, while the sentra had only aftermarket cams, and 200sx has greddy exhaust with carbon fiber hood and lightweight flywheel, those are the only mods i'm aware of, not sure if my brother can beat a H22 though

Looks like it is a 1.6 GA16DE. 200SX with stock SR20DE runs mid-low 15's easily and same for stock Preludes. Good race though!

woah USA engines must be so underpowered, the 200sx over here kick out a lot more than that as stock, the s13 produced 169 with a CA18DET and a T25 turbo, the s14 got a nice uplift with either a CA18DET or the CA20DET with a T28R kicking out about 189.... And what is that nutter going on about disabling the VTEC?! why would you get rid of the cams?! the engine wouldnt work!!!

USA 200SX SE-R's came with a 140HP SR20DE engine. All 90's SE-R's and G20's came with the naturally aspirated version. As for the H22, it was DESIGNED to use VTEC so why unplug it? Cripple a factory OEM engine's horsepower to make it easier for another NA engine to beat it in a race? Why? Because you don't like VTEC Hondas? Gee, that's like saying you should disconnect the VVL solenoid on a swapped SR20VE (VVL) 200SX SE-R because the engine is junk without it. Don't you know about cams?

as an owner of a 1995 200sxSE-R and the previous owner of a 1996 200sx SE i know that wasnt a ser if you pay attention you can hear the VCT activating in the engine and ive raced alot of prelude sh's and hung right with them and some even beat yeah the 200sx has less power but it also weights 700LBS less thats why an ser runs alot better than the car in the vid,hear the ga16de's variable cam timing engaging and you can tell its not a ser it doesnt have vct just a hella engine

An SR20 only puts out 140 horses, you'd need an SR20det to come close. H22 puts out 200 horses. Stock for stock only turboed 4 bangers can come close to an H22.
