I am personally a huge fan of both Sammy and Van Halen. I think both new records sound fantastic (Chickenfoot 3 and A Different Kind of Truth). This performance is awesome, in my opinion.

@pflo99 How people can even compare this shit to Van Halen's new killer album ADKOT is just plain dumb!!! ADKOT has no filler only killer songs on it!!! I can't get enough of it, I want more & I'm getting it with every listen. ADKOT is some of Dave's best work, King EVH is Fnkn BACK! AVH is on another planet set for a collision with planet ROCK & Wolfie is the chosen one!! Some of his bass runs & tasteful b/vocals is superb. Its scary to think what VH's next album will be like, exciting times!

I'm not a great fan of either band, but the new VH album is just dreadful. Cock Rock at its very worst. Only a deaf VH fanboy could say what you have. At least Chickenfoot's latest offering has some great songs on it, though this performance isn't remotely as good as the album version.

You don't have a clue what I listen to! Rush, Genesis, Yes, Camel, Gentle Giant, Floyd, Marillion, IQ, Jethro Tull amongst many others; hardly middle of the road, mimed or celebrity.

I just like some sophistication in my music and VH could never be described as that. I don't like Guns 'n Roses or Bon Jovi much for the same reasons. But VH's latest effort is a stinker. Planet Rock have played it to death but it's clear it's not a patch on Chickenfoot 3, which is quite good.
