Brady is a true hero, and so brave. I cried watching this video .. it makes me sad that a child has to endure this terrible disease, but, it also give me hope. Hope that I get from him, and his positive attitude.
I am so so sorry Mr Wells my heart goes out to your whole family
, I have a 11 year old augter with itp, she was diagnosed with it when she was 5 years old the story you have just told on your video sounds like mine, my daughter and I have been through it all, I will definitly make sure I make people aware of this condition and to also donate. Deepest sympathy to you all x Rip Brady xo
My Brady passed away from leukemia and as a result I am very aware of the need to donate platelets on a regular basis. It a shame more people don't take the time to donate. I pray your Brady is doing well...
I've had ITP since I was a baby, and I will never get rid of it. Fortunately, it's something you can very well live with, you just have to be extremely careful with a lot of things like sports and alcohol :D Of course, the chances of surviving some accidents are way lower than normally. And yes, my body is covered with bruises every now and then, but luckily rarely face. My rates have been around 5-12. The older your child gets the easier it will be for him to avoid things that might hurt him.
i will pray for you brady....i also have itp...have tried so many diffrent medicines and methods...i just found out my itp is not only back as chronic but also possibly became a new blood disorder...anyways...i hope you have better luck than i have and i will pray for you and your journey to be better
i was once diagnosed with ITP i got it when i was two i had easy bruising the pre-school teacher and parents were thinking i got bullied but soon found out i had ITP its truly terrible one time i was maybe about four and i think i was having a bloody nose and started puking blood it was wierd my dad called 911 i grew up with long bloody noses the red dots you get on your skin sometimes on roof of my mouth i think but soon it was leaving my body but i may still have a lil' of it left but im good!
My daughter has been diagnosed with ITP her lowest platelet count was 2 on her second admission. her first admission and when she was diagnosed was a level of 6.
I was hospitalized for ITP just under a year ago.
Im 46 years old, and it hasnt been easy for me.

I hope Brady overcomes ITP and I think he will. I had chronic ITP and I finally have a normal CBC count.
