I think Kopa ran away, warned by his best friends Nuka and Vitani that their mother was planning to kill him. Zira found out and beat Nuka, and he started to believe it was Kopa's fault his mother didn't love him anymore (his brain might be a little shaken up)

Zira killing Kopa is a common theory used to explain Kopa not appearing in the TLK II. This theory is supported by many in the TLK fandom, however, no where in books, movies, comics, or anywhere else does it meantion that Zira killed Kopa.

This is how I think the story went, Kopa was the first cub in the first movie. That explains why That cub was yellow and not Tan like Kiara. Kopa was the first born of Simba and Nala, Kopa was not Simba's cousin because that would mean that Kopa would be Scar's son.

Watch the extras one the first DVD AND the second; the producers even said that it was a male! They cut Kopa out for the second production and jumped straight to Kiara. Why do you think that at the end of the first movie the cubs yellow and at the beginning of the second Kiara is a tan? They tried to make it seem like it was her though because they wanted to change the storyline.

Well, there is a Lion King book set called: "The Lonn King:Six New Adventures". And one of the books has Simba telling his son, KOPA, a story of there past. That is where he comes form. Where he went, well one theory for Kopa is: he was Simba's first child, but Zira killed him and that was why Simba banished Zira and her commrades. Then he had Kiara. Kopa is believed to be the cub at the very end of the Lion King.

Even though they weren't created by those who worked on the movie, the creators of the movie were well aware of Kopa's existence but they forgot about him while creating the second movie. You can tell since they had a whole different ceremony for Kiara so fans say that he died and Kiara is their second child

well those books do exist they weree only made in small numbers though so it's hard to actually find them. they're called the six adventures of the lion king or something like that but they're six books and kopa is in one of them

Yeah i heard of those, but the animators of LK2, intended for the cub to stay as a male, but then the story wouldn't have made any actual sense.
