We had just moved into our new house on 8/562. Without even a chair to sit on, mom and I sat on the bare carpet while she read the sad and tragic news to her then six year old son relating her untimely death. With her face grief stricken, she said,"this young and beautiful movie star died today and she had the same birthday as you dear, June 1st".

Happy Birthday Norma Jean. I had the wonderful oppertunity to meet her and Joe Dimagio when they were on their honeymoon (on Long Island) and a nicer person would be hard to find.
