Tips for those who haven't done it. Don't use a boost and the boost pad, you often get far too much speed and just ram the wall. You can do it with pretty much any ship at any speed except Piranha, stay away from that one. Try hitting the wall at as much of a side angle as you can, hitting it straight on usually just slams you into the wall. If you haven't gotten your Lapped Out trophy, go on Moa Therma racebox and try and get both, you'll have plenty of time for practice on hitting it right.

And you don't need to get too much speed. Just stop the ship before the speed pad, and boost. It will do.

Don't forget that if you miss, you can always make a U-turn and try again... don't bother going all the way around the track like I first did :D

ahha yeah i didn't land it but oh well i finally got it, but beat zico is almost impossible :/

btw does pilot assist slow you down?

Yeah it does slow you down but I think it's only if the pilot assist stops you from hitting the sides. So you can go normal speed all the way around but if pilot assist has to move you away from the walls then I think it reduces your speed by 10/15%.

i'm not so sure.. i've noticed that your speed output is 91% with pilot assist on, and 100% with it off. I reckon this means you go 10% slower at all times.

If you are gonna hit A LOT of walls without it on, then prob better to have it on, as scraping walls slows you down, and hitting them hard slows you right down, especially if you have a low thrust craft.

Low thrust = slow acceleration

thanks, i was wondering how to do this.. i kinda cheated though, i didnt land it but it still gave me the trophy.. also, to do the lapped out trophy, enable pilot assist on any track, and tape down your X button and just sleep or whatever for about half hour.. thats what i did xD

That's quite alright! I figured out where to do it pretty quickly but it still took me about 30 laps to actually do a barrel roll.

Landing the barrel is really pissing me off. Is there a certain speed class that this works better for?
