the money would be there if the politicians would stop writing IOUS and stealing from the fund to fund bailouts for wall street banks and aid to other countries. I paid into the damn system while someone was on it I need it now and I will collect these tea party people can go drown themselves in a freakin lake!!

Social Security eventually has to go, because it will run out when the baby boomers take it all and their kids will be paying for something they get nothing out of unless they are double taxed for it. we need someone who will get rid of the SS disaster program.

No one under 40 will see any of their social security money that the govt has stolen from their paychecks.

Save and invest wisely.

They should privatize the whole SS system as soon as possible for those under 40, and for those under 65 who want to leave the system.

@dmana3172 Yes, I am against social security, but I am for another system that would ultimately give you greater benefits and more freedom.

If taxes were reduced, the economy would grow much more rapidly. There would be much more money and goods in the system. Tech innovation would happen more rapidly, possibly yielding a cure for your disability. This cure would get cheaper as time went on.

Private charities would be far richer than the soc sec system ever could be.
