where are you guys from? people there seem really nice and helpful, down here in Toronto, people wouldn't care to stop, u'd be very lucky if someone did stop LOL u'd prolly have to call the tow truck an wait 3-4 hours
i was thinking about getting a Kawasaki ninja 250. is this a good starter bike, one of my buddies was saying its not that good cause on highway it would be hard picking up speed and i was like are u sure..? it was going to be a 08 or higher.
@3niipeso yeah, its not like he wanted to find a safe place to do a u-turn so as to not get royally fucked by a lorry or something. if you knew anything about engines, you know that doing 30-40 in 2nd is fine, plus you're higher up in the revs so you have more power...fuckhead
@3niipeso yeah, its not like he wanted to find a safe place to do a u-turn so as to not get royally fucked by a lorry or something. if you knew anything about engines, you know that doing 30-40 in 2nd is fine, plus you're higher up in the revs so you have more power...fuckhead
@3niipeso i wanna see you even try to ride a sports bike trolling but dosent know the first thing about a sports bike dumbass go back to sucking your mothers dick
You all seem friendly as hell out there. Glad that guy was well enough to ride home. I like the guys comment at the end 'I told him not to quit, it only hurts the first couple of times'.
But since he's on a ninja 250r, 5th gear for that turn doesn't seem too unrealistic. I'm often in 6th gear just following the 35mph speed limit commuting in town to save gas (only ~3.5-4k RPM), 2nd gear is only useful in parking lots since 1st gear revs way too high beyond walking speed. Now if he was redlining in 5th gear that would be a different story.
This is one of those situations where I woulda personally just shot over that yellow line and flipped a bitch with the quickness to help out sooner. And if I get stopped, it was in the name of emergency so the officer could eat a dick. (if he tried to do something to stop me anyway)
@NinjaOnANinja We could tell the kid was standing up and was OK, so I didn't want to create another accident by u-turning on a blind double yellow. You have to use your common sense in these situations. Obviously the kid needed help, but it wasn't a true emergency.
That's a really nice helmet cam, what is it, a GoPro hero? I'm shopping for a Ninja250 and thought I'd look up some crashes to learn from others' mistakes. Lesson learned, thanks for the post.
eeek that didnt look pretty iv just done pretty much the exact same thing on my new (second hand) bike :( target fixation on the outside of a corner and sure enough... was a very low speed crash (25mph) because i was on an unfamiliar bike on unfamiliar roads but even so... ALWAYS WEAR GEAR my textile jacket was worn down to the breathable liner and my helmet was chipped and scratched down to the inner shell... i got off with burns an bruises on my shoulder and elbow from the inside of the jacket
It's nice to see you did that for him. I remember I bent the forks on my ninja 250 trying a wheelie for the first time because I came down on a curb (just when I thought I was getting good at riding lol), and had a guy help me load it up on his pickup truck so I could get it home. I was so thankful, but boy did I feel STUPID! Lesson learned: don't do stupid shit on a motorcycle!
@Iroquois14 looks like lots of traffic to worry about and where was the cop car to bust ur scared american ass? i sure as hell didnt see one from your velcro helmet cam ahhahah pussy
@Iroquois14 well done for stopping man, shows there are still some decent people in the world... and ignore the cock thats saying you should have turned around on the blind. complete moron lol.
@IamSwinson dude you are a tool... i am not american but wouldnt turn around in the corner either.. fucking idiot.. shit like that gets people killed... had some american woman that did that here and my friend went around a corner doing speedlimit which is 100km/h or 60mph and hit her dead in the side went into a ditch and hit a tree.. his ass is lucky to be alive and getting hit on a bike is not like in a car... so go get a life and stop feeling so strong behind your computer..
Cops show up to help... not bust you unless you did something wrong and/or have illegal substances. Good job. what ever you see in movies about our cops isn't always correct.
@SeriouslyOut88 When I slid out on sand at 30mph going around a right hand blind corner, the cop wrote me a ticket - "too fast for road conditions" even though I was well within the 40mph speed limit. Got it thrown out in court later with a few stupid pictures. Still a pain in the ass. Cops aren't your friend. They can only hurt you. Paramedics / firefighters help ppl. Spend some more time with cops & u'll learn pretty fast it's just a highschool grad on a powertrip.
@lifeisgood070 I agree alot of them are on for a power trip but the cops where I am at (maybe this is only because I worked at a gas station and got to know many of them) aren't so bad... they let me slide when I'm speeding or goofing off. just as long as I'm not endangering anyone. But, they may be alot different where you are.
he went to put the bike in neutral and the bike was in 5th gear!!! That is a 2nd gear turn at best.... the kid must have been going WAY over his limit
absolutely... anytime I see a biker on the side of the road I stop and help. It gets a chain reaction going where the person you helped will stop for someone else in the future, and so on... the biker community is an awesome community.

5th gear on a 250 is like 2nd gear on most bikes. I doubt that was the issue.
