That's overdone, but tis not far from the rule of war -- don't learn former soldiers with nothing to do in a conquered nation. Its the massive mistake Rumsfeld made (despite urging from the heads of Iraq's military, our on the ground senior advisers, etc.)
War always embitters epople, espexially the people asked to believe in and fight it... you don't add insult to injury by kicking a guy when he;s down, and he;s he;s expected (and expecting) to lead himself and his neighbors beyond it.

It is good to see an official American understands what is going on in Iraq. The main reasons of the Americans problem in Iraq are: they dont understand what is going on, they dont want to listen, they dont want to understand and they want to solve this problem.

What made Iran powerful in Iraq is not Irans policy but unfortunately it is the American misunderstanding of the situation in Iraq. Americans brought Irans supporters to the power in Iraq (Unfortunately a large number of Iraqi politicians in the current government are Iranian).

Support the national Iraqis both Sunni and Shiaa (but not Iranian Shiaa). You could know them by the help of Arabs countries. Then, make the current government weaker by getting rid of all their heavy weapons, support the national Iraqis with weapons and withdraw from Iraq. You will see those cowards in Iraqi government fled to Iran. Iraqis can handle the problem of the Qaada easily if they a national government.
