I don't get the concept of this program at all, I think we're all in agreement.

It's like a regular interview with questions far cheekier than a normal interviewer would ever ever ask in the most insensitive abrupt and careless way possible. All under the guise of what? Helping him? Exposing him? I don't know! It reminds me of a fella on a bus who claims to be a gynecologist and starts asking the women inappropriate questions.

I cringe every time this woman speaks. The questions she asks, the way she asks them, it obvious what kind of answers she wants from him, even if it isn't what he's trying to say! It sounds like she wants to tell his story her own way. I'd rather she's just given him a list of questions to answer and not talk at all.

Her attitude as a comic and at home with billy connolly has got to be more warm than this creepy way she asked him these personal questions goes from interrogation to why damn it don't have that attidude you shouldn't havethought that you shit! no disrespect to you or your views , but my understanding is the therapist does more for their client if they remain unbias . they can sympathise but shouldn't because that emotion puts them in a situation where the therapist is supporting , inadvertantly , the clients views of themselves , concepts etc.

The therapist should have empathy instead , that explains the stoney face .

Stephen is great but you can see clearly that all his woes come simply from needing attention/love/appreciation/ad­mriation - he's not alone. It could be said that Pamela herself is also in this camp!

I don't think she is a good psychologist or interviewer, she constantly pushes her own agenda, interrupts frequently and tries to put words in the subject's mouth (e.g. when Stephen says he's never been sexually abused, she immediately contradicts him...wtf, it's not about whether YOU feel he has been!). So I loved this for Stephen Fry (identified a lot, helped me a lot blah blah) but Christ I cannot stand her.

She's a very stereotypical therapist, a little too much so though, almost to the point of annoying. The psychotherapeutic techniques she uses are very clever as she manages to elicit alot of information from them and discover their inner-most secrets which is what you need to do as a psychologist.
