When I just read the stuff on the mainstream and I hadn't seen this video, I was given an impression also of someone who is very sound, "stable" and easy going. Things do not add up and I totally get what Rob is saying, I mean you get to know people in a different way when you play music with them, because its kind of instinctual, and because the profile on this Joe guy is turning out to be more of a contradiction to the whole "lone nut" calling for revolution and body counts. It doesn't add up.
