@Nightmare1066 if your monitor is 60hz then you will only see 60fps max so the card will chill it self and perform lower in every game i've played on my pc COD crysis etc.. it never goes above 60 no matter what setting in benchmarks or anything
@JJROADSTA You 've got it wrong actually, it's possible to have more than 60 fps, I have 300 fps in Dead Island and some other newer games. If my screen is 60hz that means I won't be able to notice any performance difference with fps any higher than 60fps since 60hz is the refresh rate.

Hertz is a measuring unit for waves, basically what 60 Hertz means is that the screen is able to refresh itself 60 times in a second. When the game is running lets say 180fps, that means your card is producing 180frames per second and that is your framerate is 180 but with a monitor @ 60 Hertz you are only going to see 33.33%, also the human eye can only see 60 frames per second.

Also 30fps in some games might be totally smooth and you can't see anything above that and in some games 30fps is going to look like much less than 60fps. Well this all depends on the game engine and how the FPS affects the speed of the game it self. This means that in some games even if your monitor is 60Hz you are going to see a difference in speed between 60 and say 100fps.

My bad I said human eye can see only 60 fps, I 've read an article about it that reallistically human eye can see up to 300 fps but the brain can only process up to 12-15 frames per second, it dumps the rest because it is too much strain and too much information for the brain. @chris1abramczyk You can just buy a cheap ass GT240 or upcoming GT 430 and use that as dedicated PhysX with you ATI as primary card. Just needs a simple lil hack to get around nVidias stupid driver block.

the 6870 is a about the same as the 5850, and slower than the 5870.. the 480 is a diffrent architecture.. you can't compare speeds of the GPU the memory of the 480 as a higher bus then the 6870 so it has a higher bandwith... and the 6870 isnt designed for highperformance.. but for mid range

Linus, why are you playing this game on an ATI card? Especially a lower end 6870. A 480 GTX would have much better performance with the included bonus of Physx.

the 6870 is a about the same as the 5850, and slower than the 5870.. the 480 is a diffrent architecture.. you can't compare speeds of the GPU the memory of the 480 as a higher bus then the 6870 so it has a higher bandwith... and the 6870 isnt designed for highperformance.. but for mid range

Eyefinity is stupid. A human being only has 2 eyes, thus you're going to set up 3 screens, but you're still looking at " that one middle screen with your 2 eyes "
A complete waste of money and all you need is one damn monitor.
Hell i am using a CRT Montior, 17inch and the quality of my games is the same as the quality which someone uses a high end card with a high end monitor.
Eyefinity = LAME.
HIGH END VIDEO CARDS THAT COST A TON OF MONEY = LAME
