The gas station attendant is so stupid. Starkweather told him to get out of the car; he was free to go. Why the Hell did he turn around and try to get the gun away from Starkweather?! A wife and baby on the way and he goes and does something stupid like that. Stupid, stupid.

I know some people in Lincoln, Nebraska, my hometown, who knew both Charlie Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate before the crimes took place. My mom even saw Charlie when her, my aunt, and grandmother toured the jail he was staying in while he was on trial in Lincoln. Saw Charlie in both cuffs and shingles.

Thanks for uploading this. Tim Roth is a fantastic actor, but in terms of appearance I always found him a weird choice to play Charles Starkweather. In terms of acting, he pulls it off, but the fact he looks nothing like Charles has always put up a barrier of believability for me.

I think Sheen as Kit Carruthers is a far better Starkweather-type character.
