  • Mike Masnick, I love you.

  • Over time, more abundance and scarcity will be solved right away from new technology and no real scarcity will occur due to robotics which will replace humans coupled with higher AI tech. UPS drivers will be gone and so on and so on. The money system will have to end or transform to help our constant transition

  • WRONG. This guy has committed the common error of shifting the definition of ABUNDANCE from an "absolute abundance" to "less scarce". Luckily, he didn't use this error to make a fallacious argument.

Other than that, this video was good.

  • this is a good video.

  • god I love the ups

  • ups approved this?

  • @iomega ship it

  • some forward this video to the mpaa! quick time.

  • amen

  • Nice way to simplify Macro Economics.

    Sweet

  • Good Video

  • Excellent presentation Mike. If only more people would realize that the universe is NOT a zero-sum game, but filled with abundance. Scarcity is often a manipulation of marketing and politics.

  • That's interesting because most people think that life is a zero sum game. That is so true and life doesn't have to be that way. I agree. People like to bring up the fact that there is no such thing as a free lunch but it's really just a battle of semantics.

  • Good video, but you should memorize the lines so you can look at the camera.

I like how you show that free music can still give the musicians profit as it turns into a promotional and interest gaining tool for live concerts and merchandise.

I'm guessing your next video will address adding value and convienience instead of hindering those (such as with DRM). You sort of hint at that when you said that other scarcitys were often overlooked such as attention, time, and access.

    Good job!

  • Great video Mike! Please send a complimentary copy to the RIAA and friends. Thanks!

  • Basic, truthful, something the people in the industry should understand. The question is, will they? The consumer does...

  • I almost cried. As consolation, can I have all those presents? after all, there are enough for everyone, right??
