  • Ahh, than there was Flick, what a character strong witty and sexy. Stood out like a sore thumb in the days when almost all female characters were moany or chained to a kitchen sink. Plus she was that rarest of creatures a non white coronation street character!!! I was sooo gutted when she got the crappiest (OFF SCREEN!!!!!) write outs after about five minutes on the show to be replaced by GFF (generic feisty female) Angie...YAWN!

  • @Hecatean Yep, you are right there. Rita Wolf was a great actress and I also have her in an episode of short-lived 1989 thriller series Saracen on DVD.

  • I used to watch this with my family back then and being the same age as Tracy's character I used to think "There is NO WAY whoever writes this has kids her age, that is NOT a 13/14 year old girl that's a 10 year old at most" If she'd been real and had gone to my school the hard nuts would have been passed around for desert.

  • @Hecatean Oops dessert

  • was tracey evil back then

  • @vaimende No just VERY immature for 13 odd.

  • @Hecatean also somewhat spoilt.

  • @vaimende Little bit cheeky, but nothing compared to today.

  • 35,000 Pound ain`t worth so much now, eh?!

  • I havent changed that much,in my opinion

  • actually 35000 was quite a good price back then. We bought a 4 bed detached brand new in north yorks for 89000 in 1996, so it was quite an expensive house back then

  • "Young Steve MacDonald" haha

  • Derek and Mavis!! Hooray!

  • 35,000 for the house! haha

  • I know! I laughed at that. How times change.

  • Yeah, look at Deirdre!Seems to me it's not just house prices that change :L

  • @ndgreenaway sorry I dont get it

  • @ndgreenaway My mum and dad paid £3,600 in 1976 for there home. They sold it in 2006 before the housing price crash for £135,000. Anyone with a bit of money and forethought should have bought property in the 1970,s
