waves are merely the pull of the moon towards whichever location it is in. Islands, do not attract water :).

Water will however still break on all beaches as it is the friction caused by the water hitting the quickly rising sea bed.

Not realy Cannonguy. The moon causes the tides, waves are caused by wind. When the sea is flat.. you guess the moon is on holiday or what? No just the absence of wind ;)

indeed, you are correct, the process of fetch does of course have a strong effect on waves, where wind continues to blow and create larger and larger waves. Thanks for correcting me there :)

some ships have sails on the bow and if the ship goes low enough, it touches the water

yes some ships had these sails, but its all good, they were emant to occasionaly dip into the water

There is an ini file to create and fill to have a free camera option, but unfortunately, I'm not playing lately and can't remember the exact thing. You should search the official forums about 'free camera', I think you should find it.

However I heard for a moment that they'd remove it. No idea if it's still working. Anywho, have fun!
