I get the joke...the 1998 Godzilla missed the mark for living up to the legend of the japanese original, and in this animation he misses the mark for stepping on Bambi (In Marv Newland's animated short Godzilla succeded with one try).

Actually, the missiles consistently hit him. He's just completely unharmed. The thing in this video, however, looks a lot more like the thing from that bad 1998 movie.
