While I agree with the message in the video, there are two reasons it also worries me that BIG business are going down a similar path. Leasing or renting out goods is being pushed quite a bit in the retail industry because (1) as a consumer you end up paying a lot more for the product and (2) the product can be built with a shorter lifespan (i.e. cheaper) in order to increase revenue for the company building it. And since the consumer does not own it, he/she can't lend it to anyone afterward.
