I like Your boat Frank, I don't understand why people are argueing over the weather conditions? it is what it is. I live on Anglesey North Wales, they say ''if you can sail round this island you can sail anywhere in the world'' I guess because it is an island with every point possesing different conditions during the same day/weather. hence why some people don't agree with your conditions, where ever we go it looks different despite same conditions, being my point.
I hesitate to post this, but with 30+ years and 20,000+ miles at sea on multihulls, concept design, supervision, & consultation, I'm simply not impressed. The vid is cut - many times - when the boat broaches or plows under, and as a tow-surfer, I don't see 8'-15'. Sorry.
I realize the current cat' craze has everyone scrambling to build one, but a GREAT cat' is truly a remarkable craft.
The boat appears too heavy, or possibly the C/B is a tad off? The 40' seems to have helped this, but...
Sorry you wernt impresed, As designer and builder i was driving her during this test, yes the video was cut, but only to show the more interesting bits, she never once broached during the trials, I never once cut the video to mask any moment when the craft was broaching or plowing, and I'm not scrambling to build Cats, this Wildcat design has been in operation for many years, and yes I agree a good Cat is a remarkable thing, maybe if you my google safehavenmarine you might change your mind
I actually did visit the site BEFORE I posted. Unlike so many webcrawlers, I don't go off half-cocked.
I thought some of the monohull performance better - and I never go to sea on a mono' if I can help it.
Build quality looks excellent, from what I can tell (your conditions would demand this). Detail and styling, too. Performance? Mmmmm.... Sorry; I don't mean to ruffle feathers, but I'm just not seeing it here.
I'd love to see the whole vid'. Not just "the interesting bits"...
would it be a capable pilot boat, kilrush is looking for pilot boat skippers with own boat. Want to apply but I've got a Meridian 341 and there aint no way I'm configuring that!!!!!
Is it a tri-hull? Would be good for the Great Lakes as very fast and wicked squalls kick-up and hit yo before you know it's happening, and larger storms tear across the Lakes quickly throwing up 6 to 35ft. plus waves. 10 to 20Ft. waves are common.

Is this a euro built boat?
Could use this here on Columbia River Bar.
Conditions in video happen here during winter. and other times of year. Larger sometimes.
