I have to say that I enjoy Erotic Cakes much more due to the pure groove and tight feel. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this but it doesn't strike my emotive nerve as much. It's still great fun to listen to! Some of the world's best musicians without a doubt.

Did anyone else hear the Dream Theater Metropolis Part 1. thing? It's at about 2:53. It's weird, Opeth used that note sequence on their new song and that album comes out around the same time as this album. Not to mention Dream Theater's album comes out at around the same time as well.

Sounds like guthrie listend to some buckethead and shawn lane before he made this? ha!. I mean he is playing a lot of different shit (styles) here, But delibratly twisting them in warped fusion instrumental whatever, Like real experimental music in the 60s with extreme electronic sounds, Only with killer musicians

@NeverLandQM No, it isn't improvisational. That guy has was just making shit up. Guthrie, Bryan and Marco each composed a third of the songs and brought them into the studio for the others to learn. They didn't just mic up the kit and amps and then jam out a fusion improv.

Fantastic guitar playing, but I wish the mixing was a little better. The bass sounds flat and the drums don't have a lot of depth.
