I wish there were sci fi movies that wern't all about the speciall effects because this movie which is a little more then 20 years old is still good! They don't make science fiction movies like this anymore :(
i think one of the reasons why it was so good, and felt real was that all the weapons, aircraft, aliens and buildings were real....at least models, but no fecking CGI ruining everything. anyone with a budget and a pc can create spectacular cgi landscapes....but everything in this film was crafted by sculpters, painters, builders, engineers etc. love it. or am i just showing my age?
@ozzyman75 Not to mention they are remaking all the movies now since writers are so stupid now and can't think of anything new. I thought Avatar was crap to me it was the worst movie that Cameron ever made and I know I'll get shot down and burn in flames but I stick to what I'm saying dammit

I still have Nightmares about being on the Nostromo. You can not copy this movie or chop it up (but they try). It's art. I'm a fan of the age where real movies were made. @katey1dog idk, i suppose my intial statement was harsh. it just kinda seemed a little... rehashed. 1 aliens, lotsa people, have to kill it with no weapons. the even tried to push it though the airducts and everything again. it was nt horrible but i wouldnt say amazing or anything. its sad that ripley died, and theres my flaw with the movie. plus how in the hell did an egg end up on the sulacco??

The thing with aliens is that they made it a simple
but belivable movie that was fun to watch.
It wasnt far-fetched and the spaceships looked real and they didn't make a drame out of it like
the creators of stargate,startrek,starwars,and lost
until they got to aliens3 and they shouldnot overexagerate it .
keep it a mystery were the alien came from but
it would be cool if they could put another simple but fun fictional elament in there
