  • I Love the Sunflower cabinet garden. That's cool I will steal that someday. I like the old style kitchen. Love the window

  • I loved the sunflowers in the cabinet doors. Such a special thing that says this is home and they look good.

  • I get the strangest ideas sometimes...

  • Ok, you scared me for a second..I thought you said you collect "molded salads" I listened again and realized that you were talking about recipes. I am going to do a tour of my crazy painting too soon inspired by your cabinets...so look for it shortly.

  • I think i did say Molded Salads. However I did not say "Moldy Salads" heheh.

  • okay, I can't help but ask...at 1:35 what's the thing on the side of the cabinet that looks like an old pencil sharpener? I have a galley kitchen too but no where as big as yours. Sunflowers on the inside of the cabinet - great idea, very creative!

  • That is my can opener. It was in my grandmother's kitchen all my life, and when she died, I removed it, and took it with me. It still works fantastic despite its age. Official name is "Swing-away".

  • My Mother-in-Law believes that HoneySuckle growing on your house is Unlucky. I don't know why but I thought I'd share that anyway. ;)

    Take Care,

    Health & Happiness,

    Regards,

    Andy

  • Now that would be an interesting thing to research. Of course it could be because it is so invasive. (I have Honeysuckle surrounding the entire house, the kitchen window is the only place I let it grow UP.

  • Your kitchen reminds me so much of my parents they have the same situation where is slender but long I think that is great that you painted the inside of the cabinets Never thought about that Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • I was very blue with my garden in the back completely brown and asleep for the winter, so I made a permanent garden in the cupboards.

  • We have pyrex bowls too but they are from the 70s.

  • Is interesting that you can date pyrex by the pattern, but they have always made the best nesting bowls.

  • I like the glass corner. Good to see you are still posting. I was worried that you might quit.

  • That corner in my kitchen is the reason I bought the house! I looked at other houses, but it was always that little corner window area that drew me back.

  • Agreed. That is a very cool part.
