@DystruktoBoi1 maybe watch a drag race of the new 2011's some times. its not all about HP, the mustang has like a 400lb advantage over the Camaro, so the V6 kills the V6 camaro, and the GT kills the SS. I'm sure the Z28 will be out, but thats competing against the GT500, not the GT. So I think chevy has some work cut out for them, because they wont make the Camaro so fast that it competes with the Corvette, that will cannabilize it's sales. I'm talking from a purely objective manner of course.

And of course its not all about horsepower or Lacer EVOs wouldnt even be fast, lol, they only make 275-300, the new ones more, but yea. And the Corvettes are getting insane, the ZR1 eats Ferraris, thats a little insane.

A V6 cannot sound like a V8 because it has a different wave interference as the exhaust leaves the header tubes and enters at the collector to flow into the cats. It can be tweaked a little bit with exhaust valve timing but will never match the growl of a V8. I learned all about exhaust performance in a senior engineering class. Just thought I'd help clarify.

I own a 2LT Camaro and I used to own a V8 Second Gen Camaro and you know what? They both rocked! The V6 I drive now has all the power I need and MUCH more control than my 75 Camaro. Also, the 6 speed is way better than my old Muncie M21 as I can cruze the highway at 1800RPM, not 4200 like my old 75. Modern interpretation, highly appreciated! Camarodriver...eB

I am excited and want to try and get a feel for what the speeds will be like. It is lighter and has 1 more hp than the camaro so I think it will be pretty good. Cannot wait. I never said anything about a Dodge, and thats very amazing, the V6 Camaro is only about 1.2 seconds slower than the V8 Mustang, either thats a slow Mustang (NOT) or the V6 Camaro is pretty quick, and this one has a weird exhaust, but I have heard much MUCH better from shittier engines, I know the 3.6 with VVT can sound better than a pushrod 3.8!

a V6 will NEVER sound like a v8. The growl will always be different due to the firing of the cylinders and the number. A V6 will always be more high pitched.

@pacman725 well genius a V8 puts out a ton more air flow and allows for a much deeper sound, so if you knew anything about exhaust you'd know that the engine does matter. It takes a ton of airflow from a V6 to make it sound like a V8 so shut the hell up and know what you're talking about.
