has anyone heard about the fairies origin being linked to the ancient Iranic tribe known as Saga(Scythians)? it is from a book called the Dragon's Legacy and that the Saga were known as the fairies in Ireland with the Picts following them. Essentially that is were Pixies come from since its a mix of Saga and the Picts, and that Saga were spelled Sithian in 16th century England which is related to many different variation of Saga (Iranian which i believe means dogs) ranging from Eire - N.India

@Desktopobserver no it's not from nightwish. They have only done a cover for it, which isn't bad, but nothing compared to the original one (although i am a fan of nightwish). The original one is by Aled Jones and it goes back to somewhere around 1985 if I'm correct, and it's from the movie "The Snowman".

Nightwish weren't even thought of back then.

If someone asked me this, I would say that the boy fairies are less common among the fairy folk, and thus, not often as well known. That they protect the girl fairies in quiet ways, and among the good fairy, this is a duty that is taken very seriously, so they try to remain unnoticed till they are needed.

Fairies are a shy, sensitive kind of people, and this true for the guy fairies as well, but if you watch very carefully, you may notice them.. if you know how to look.

I don't find anyone has made this connection, but this is the song they used in the animated short "The Snowman". Its a very old animated short, no dialogue, just music.
