Jimmy Lee is a very good drummer, however he is out classed here. Tony especially is in a league of his on. Put Aaron Spears in Jimmy's spot, and watch some real chops fly.
@funkfanNo1 i know u like what you like but weckl and vinnie are good but one dimensional. they could never do hip hop, r&b, rap, or gospel. they will always sound like dave and vinnie. but drummers like tony royster, nissan stewart, aaron spears, gerald heyward, etc, who always get hired for award shows like grammys or american idol play everything and are skilled in every genre. but like i said you like what you like. look some of these guys up.
@funkfanNo1 really? i think ur in over your head pal..dont get me wrong i love wekl and vinnie..they are in my top drummers list BUT they wudnt have wiped the floor with anybody..trust me on that..
@SecretSocietyLive1 Oh I'm well aware of Gorden's ability I've been following him since I was 9 years old and he was playing for Earth Wind and Fire. I just wanted darthjoey13 to know not to sleep on Gorden.
whoever just said jimmy need work u crazy he was hella tasteful pay attention to him the difference is all of them have different style . Gorden def went in. tony killed too
Bad shape. No power from jimmy lee. All hand chopz only ( sianz ) and worse case scenario always have to play cover when come back at 1. He wants to do some Gadd stuff but its badly executed. Tell me im not the only one feeling this. Jimmy Lee you need to work on your kick cuz there is where the juice is.
@commonground888 I was at the event and I really think the drums miking and tuning (possibly) did him no favours really. Having seen Jimmy play live many times, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt he's a very loud and powerful drummer.
@commonground888 agreed i heard ALOT of screw ups from him also and he did alot of the same thing, idk if it just wasnt his day or what but he wasnt that great.
@commonground888 HAte to disagree on ya point though he seem pretty tight and smoove it didn';t matter if he was doing the same thing or not or whether he was loud or not.....if you reallyy look at the vid he was pocket enough for these two guys to setup the tricks and techiques on the drums. YEah he wasn;t all that good but at least he kept the train moving.

@darthjoey13 Gorden Campbell is more of a groover. The guy in the middle might have some huge gigs in singapore so I can't judge him lol
