The last time I was so happy about IU winning a game, I was in a bar in Durham, NC. It was 2002. We were down 17 at the half against Dook. I was relentlessly assailed for the entire first half. So I'm sitting at the bar with my candy striped pants looking the complete fool cheering for an obvious loser. At games end, I got on top of the bar (stripes and all) and shouted "fuck you, thanks for coming." I ordered a bottle of Dom to flaunt the win, and was tossed out of the place like a $25 whore.

@237KMT Talking about the tourney game at UK? Wasn't it like 13? I don't think it was 17. Still unbelievable comeback though. That Duke team was stacked. Something like 4 of their starters went pro. 13 against that team might as well have been 30. lol

We were down 17 at the half against Dook, for sure. I was in the belly of the beast and remember it like yesterday because I almost left to watch the 2nd half at home. Jason Williams hit a 3 and was "fouled" by Dane Fife. He had a chance to tie the game from the line. He missed the free throw, we got the ball. Game over. I stood up on the bar stool and laughed and laughed. I ordered a bottle of Dom, and was summarily ejected from the bar. My favorite IU game ever.

The whole Hooiser Nation is so proud of these kids and the entire team, coaching staff, etc. I was a student at IU when we won it all in 81. All those NCAA championships (and all the prior success) are awesome, but somehow it feels like, after all the program and these kids have been through, this win is as important as any
