Samuel Adams was a great patriot with rhetoric, but his treatment of Revolutionary War Veterans was deplorable. When soldiers went off to fight and leave their homes, Adams supported placing leans on their property for unpaid taxes. The soldiers would then return home shocked, but attempt to pay with the fiat money issued by Massachusetts. Adams' supported Bowdoin's refusal to accept this currency and then demand payment in gold currency. Adams used troops to kill the ensuing revolt.
@TheFlanker35 Little bit nit-picky with your history there. Yes, he supported the liens for unpaid taxes, but the money issued was not rejected by Mass, it was not the soldier's to begin with, since nearly all of them had sold their fiat money to speculators and thus didn't have any to use to repay the debt.
You make it sound as if he were dictator and single-handedly dealt with Shay's rebels. A little narrow in the approach, that.
heres my fav adams quote If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776
Samuel Adams is my favorite founder, too. I love that he failed at virtually everything he tried to do in life, but in standing for freedom and putting his life on the line for it, he succeeded immensely.
You must have figured it out, since you've removed your comment. The song is listed a tthe end of the video. It's Rodrigo y Gabriela's "Viking Man" I cut it in half for this video.

@TheFlanker35 All of the founders were inconsistent. They were men, not gods. At no time in our history has a perfect human walked the earth.
