That Persian Teardrop song is called a "remix" but its basically Teardrop and some other weird noises playing. Its not really remixed but merely mixed. And it is weird. This still does not sound like that strange mix of Teardrop and those noises.

It was written as a Europian version of the House theme for series one by the actual makers of House.

They also wrote the Eurpoian version for the later series of House.

The American theme by teardrop can't be used in Europe.

The official reason is "licensing issues". Which means either the publishing house responsible charges a killing for the song's use in Europe, Massive Attack won't allow its use, or NBC Univeral and the local TV stations would like to save on royalties by using a purpose-written theme song.

well thats up to the transolator companies. but you say the dutch one, but that version isn't only used in the netherlands but in the most european countries. the netherlands is one of the most countries that's using this theme.

Huh? This has the opening video wiht the theme fromthe closing credits of Season 1, doesn't it? I didn't watch the firtst season when it was originally out, but I have it on DVD. The opening credits have "Teardrop" playing in the background and this song is played during the end credits.

Not quite, mate. It's an original, commisioned piece that was created because the theme for House in America was "Teardrop" by Massive Attack from their album Mezanine. However, due to liscensing issues, "Teardrop couldn't be included in the international versions of the show so this song was created. I don't think it even has a same.
