I lost most of my weight in the first year, I was losing up till 18 months, very slowly, but the weight will just come off soooooo fast int he first 12 months.
Wow 7 1/2 years ago thats insane...i dont know anyone that far out! did you reach your goal? are you maintaining to your satisfaction?.. i dont wanna be a mommy but i know a lot of ladies who were able to after this surgery. :)
My weight loss was a total of 180lbs. Which was unreal, my highest weight was 350 my lowest was 170lb. I got pregnant 41/2 years post-op. I had been maintaining my lowest weight for about 3ish years before pregnancy.
Pregnancy was great, I gained Weight which was bad, bad for me. I have not lost all preggers weight, but you know what? I'm better then where I was 8 plus years ago.
I wish I was back at 170 and I could be if I would get serious. I NEVER would regret this surgery. The only thing is I would have had more control during pregnancy.
Its the best thing you have done for yourself. Your Life is gonna be so different.
i'm hoping i wont slide back into old habits once my stomach allows me to eat pretty much normally again (minus sugar of course) i know thats not something i really have to worry about for a year but i've always been the paranoid type.
It will take years for you tummy allows you to eat "normal" amounts. I still get sick if I eat too much. My problem is the "carbs" that slide down too easy! LOL! Your gonna do wonderful. I'm so happy for you, I know just how excited you are.
im a total carb addict i'll have to watch out for that one, i'm starting semi soft/pureed foods soon and im terrified that something will get stuck, but im also excited to eat something with taste and texture.
thats amazing truely amazing, i need to lose about 135 more lbs im hoping that i can do it i'm going to try my darndest and i'm hoping maintaining will be easier then losing the weight.
you'll know what works for you. Losing and maintaining is gonna be very effortless. Your gonna shop, shop, shop! Don't buy too much cause your clothes will be falling off you every month
i'm gonna try to shop at thrift stores and really inexpensive stores if i feel i must shop... i cant even wear jeans yet my tummy hurts to much to do em up so i'm not really worrying about clothes right now
I'm totally happy with my outcome :-) And you will too :-)
