  • Gonna have to go with the SR. Great cleans. Searing lead tone in the bridge when dirty. All around clearer. Good video! Thanks!

  • sounds great! Is it the regular metro jtm45, og the jtm 45/100 ?:)

  • The fender cleans are just amazing, but no other dirty sound beat's a classic marshall crunch. It's just what you need.

I prefer the JTM, but that's just my opinion.

The JTM has a decent clean but just not as good as the SR. For the dirty (crunch) tones (that I use more) marshalls are better.

  • I love the greasy, midrange bark of the JTM45, but love the brightness and clarity of the SR. Having to choose which one for a gig must be difficult!

  • I like the grittiness of the 45.

    :)

  • Like the Super better... guess I dig that scooped midrange with the strat...

  • How much clean headroom does the JTM have?

    Great playing by the way.

  • It can get pretty loud before the real breakup comes into play. I'd say a little less than a Tweed Bassman.

  • Those are CTS alnicos in the SR right?

How do they suit the amp? Would you recommend anything else?

What I really want to see you do is do a demo of just the SR, and really crank it. No dirt pedals though. Perhaps if you just boost it though.

  • I wish I could do one like that.... It would distort and wouldn't sound worth a shit because of the crappy condenser mic on the camera.

I like the old CTS' for the Super.... Really haven't tried much else.

  • Oh, I see :)

  • Sounds great!
