I've got a very small version of this from a laptop hard drive will it work with that? or will the magnet not be strong enough?

and it better to do with a big hard drive (forgot the size) , not the ones used in laptops.

can you use another magnet than neodymium? I mean.. isn't it too strong for that purpose?

@laterallsss Well you can use an electromagnet (like those for locking doors) but regular magnets like those you can stick on a fridge or a tool, is not enough to pull the beads inside the tags. its the reason i suggest neodymium

I've heard about that N48, N52 etc etc thing. Does that really matter or is any neodymium magnet capable of removing garment tags?

@Juanah92 Any Kind of neodymium magnet works, as i said, you can find one easily in any old hard disc drive
